RE: New Club

I have decided to create a club, as so often I have joined others and simply felt alone regardless of the amount of members. I wish to make a difference for others like myself, however I must have two assistants to make it active. I have no requirements and would gladly accept the first two members who wish to join, as assistants-if you feel up to it. I have titled this club; Odds and Randoms. I would like to let the community of poems and quotes know that I am seeking assistance. Thank you kindly!! Jamie :)

Thank you all for your best wishes, it's great to see the support! I definitely understand being invested in a group that works for you already. So far it has been a slow start, as I have no idea how to designate members, when no one can find it lol. I also cannot seem to find any information on how to do that, and am currently waiting on a response from a Mod. However, if there is anyone who has experience and could help me out, that would be greatly appreciated. :D

I already responded to your PM last week. Is there something I missed?

    Does this link work?

I don't know actually. I thought I might've sent you a message but I don't have a pm from you in my messages. Not sure if perhaps you have me confused with someone but nevertheless, another moderator tried to help me too but I tend to be awful at explaining what I'm looking for. The link given was just what I was looking for. I understand what's needed of me, but others couldn't find it and I didn't know where to send them. All is well as it worked out with help from you moderators. Thanks so much!!!!

Link definitely works, thank you very much. I can now pass this on to those who are looking to apply. Thanks a ton!!

Awesome! Sometimes links only work for moderators, so it's a gamble :)

    Thanks Angel!!!

@ Silvershoes - funny you should say that lol. it worked for me, but when I sent it to someone who was interested in applying it didn't work for them :S it really sucks that it's been this complicated. Any advice as to what to do?

I also have another question...sorry for being so needy lol. I've had two people tell me that they can't apply because they aren't senior members, is that the case? I wasn't aware that you had to be a member for a certain period of time to be able to apply for assistant, or a certain ranking of any kind. Are there any guidelines posted anywhere as to what the process of opening a new club entails? I've just found it rather unnecessarily difficult trying to do it. On the opening page of creating one, it seems simple, but hasn't exactly turned out to be. I have people interested, but they apparently don't rank high enough in something :S

You're not being "needy." I'm a moderator and I'm here to help. I volunteer for this :)

To be an assistant in a club, you must be a senior member, yes. If the members who have been unable to access the page that I linked are non-senior members, that might be why. If they are senior members and can't access it, let me know. I'll get to the bottom of it.

Being a senior member isn't about how long you've been on the site. You have to meet certain qualifications/have a certain ranking. You must have either a Silver P or a Silver F.

    Silver P=100-199 poems submitted
Silver F=20-49 people have you on their Favorite's List

I'm sorry it's been difficult. Once you have the club up and running, it'll all have been worth it... hopefully!

Thank you, that makes me feel better about my several questions.

Uh no, the members aren't senior as of yet, so that explains that than.

That's good to know, she mentioned having to be a silver in something and wasn't sure what she meant, but that clarifies it for me. I don't think I will have any other questions to get it rolling.

No need to apologize for that, you've been the most helpful with this and I greatly appreciate it. I'm just as sure it will be worth it. Thank you so much!!!

I think there is another way to become a senior member based on "Praised Comments," but I'm presently drawing a blank. I'll keep you updated.

And you are most welcome! I'm happy to have helped, even a little.
