Some of you will know that it is election day here in Australia. There have been a lot of gaffes and innuendo's by the leading parties over the past few weeks but...I think this one takes the trophy. I didn't realise it was also election day in The Maldives until I read this...

Wonder if the coconut will be put to death?

Lmao this seriously cracked me up. Can you imagine being the news reporter giving that story? I would laugh the entire time!!

I would try to make a joke, but it seems the nut has been milked for all its worth

Quite depressing thinking about which flavour of turd Australians should vote for.

I'd have voted for this coconut if it were on the Australian list...it's far more interesting than the candidates we had to choose from!!!

"Wonder if the coconut will be put to death?"

^His defense counsel (a magician summoned by the Police), just rescued him from certain death (by having the head split open on a rock, I heard). He was found innocent and released, thankfully.
Michael, have you heard about what the hurricane said to the coconut? Cannot post it here, though coconut milk is very healthy, and fresh coconut meat very tasty as well, just like Ben & Jerry's "turd" flavor icecream in Aussie land. Haven't you tried it quite a few times Abby ? :)

By the way...Hellon, or anyone else, have you been to the Maldives?
We used to have a member here from the Maldives, Aminath, who wrote beautiful and "longish" poetry, sometimes with a blend of humor and love. Haven't seen her around in a year. But, here is one she wrote, which symbolizes the "Coco...nut", I believe, as the dictator Maumoon Abdul Gayoom, ousted with the help of Indian military in 2008 after a 30-year corrupt rule, swaying in the breeze of its Palm tree (Maldivians in love or perhaps symbolizing his mother who was one of the 8 wives of a polygamous family with 25 children), until...

    "All hell broke loose

    His head fit the noose

And the coconut palm, she wept"

Just my interpretation of her unique humor. Wonder, why she never won a weekly!

And Hellon, if you still want the "nut" to replace Mr. Tony Abbott (just elected by the Aussies), I am sure he is still around, buried somewhere under the coconut tree. :)
