I come across this in facebook and thought of sharing. For the humanism in me is way stronger than the fear of being accused of anti American... |

I had a hard time reading through this because they strategically placed pictures for the reaction (which I think makes sense, it grabs your attention), so honestly I didn't finish the article.. |

I thought I had seen one of the images before, however SOMETHING is happening to these babies. I know some may be birth defects that can't be explained, and some may be due to uranium or whatever the heck is happening... but it just makes me sick. These poor little children. It breaks my heart. |

Colm is correct. The very first and the last image are the same. Of an infant diagnosed with Harlequin-type ichthyosis. The disease could've been triggered by exposure to the radiation caused by Uranium, as a fetus. Since the disease is a result of genetic mutation of the protein gene ABCA12, related to the genes of the skin. It may not necessarily have anything to do with uranium or Afghanistan, but it would be wrong to rule out the possibility of such circumstances. Uranium bioaccumulates in the body, becomes Uranyl ions, which have been shown to cause birth defects and immune system damage. |
