PnQ Moment

Tim Tams in the US, that's an outrage! haha

I tried some new ones the other day, choc orange and double choc vanilla. I'm glad spring it is here, I don't have the urge to have one... or two... with my green tea.

3 years? no way. It really doesn't feel like that long ago.

    What life outside PnQ?

I just finished 7 hours of shoveling 4 cubic yards of dirt around my front & back yards. THAT'S NOT A LIFE!!!!!

I'd much rather spend the time on PnQ.

BTW, I believe I have come a long way on holding back my "Irish" attack mode. Can't remember the last time I gave penalty points for anything but plagiarism or spamming.

My best moments on P&Q have all been private messages from people I'd grown very fond of, one in particular.

Well, I certainly don't miss the drama ;p
But I do miss my friends and their poetry and all the clubs I was in; LTFR, KR .. sorry I've been away, I just needed to shed some skin!

    I guess I've grown up now :-)

    Bow tie and all!

PnQ has had waves of drama.. I feel like luckily we're at least all growing up and getting a little nicer (or more level headed). Before it was downright mean lol

Thanks guys, the marathon was pretty epic for me too! I must have been possessed. I remember I was bored and house-sitting for someone with a cat. I don't like cats. Cats was one the poem topics.

6 days, 5 clubs, 42 poets, 1248 poems... I would love to generate that level of activity again, but not like that!

I am very fond of Cap'n One-Breasted Abe, Jungle Jane, Silly Billy and the whole lunatic story. Kevin made a Blind Dates thread, and paired Jane and me to go on a cruise around the Scottish canals or something. It took a life of its own. It really helped cement our friendships, formed the unchanging core of THE CLUB, even now alternately known as The Pirate Ship, arrrrrr. We used to tell great stories, spend hours reading and writing and wrecking each other's plots. Great days.

THE CLUB's battle with the Mods was pretty historical. I like to think it's changed things a bit. Mainly because Jane somehow got through, and Bob left. I miss him though. He kept things nice and controversial. I miss asshole Jane as well.

ddavidd's many personalities creating a raging army during our great debates was also very interesting and educational.

Still love it here, like the sentimental duck I am. Hello.

No offence to anyone, but two of the toughest females that was ever on this site never post anymore

    Mo & Kaitlin Kristina

below is a classic form Kaitlin Kristina telling the infamous JPM off way back when. lol

"Ever thought of going into law?

At the same time though, insults that require you to reach to middle school status ("shut up") probably wouldnt end up scoring points with anyone unless it's a courtroom governed by 5th graders sniffing on magic markers.

Although you'd be in good company.

I know you hardly ever have to look up words, but I dont believe you're familiar with a very simple, yet important one: tact."

Dang Abby that's a TON of poems. That goes down in PnQ history for sure.

I forgot about all the JPM stuff. I liked Kaitlin Kristina. I don't think I was a regular on the boards yet, I definitely lurked and she scared the bajeezus out of me.

I think I was around when JPM was, but I don't remember anything about him besides what people told me. Guess I'm oblivious?

Love what Kaitlin wrote- very clever. Don't remember her either.

That IS a ton of poems. Holy crap.

I had a good run with JPM he had a foul mouth but he was soft in heart if you could see through all that. my language was bad than but I still did not lose. the other guy was Chris (Walker??) he was opposite. He use to call me "golden boy" or "cuckoo in the fourth aisle". After the biggest fight I've ever seen in this site with bob he got suspended and vanished for good.

only abby memorialized the ddavidd's events. I knew she was the only one real!!

I still go back every once in a while and read through the poems written for Abby's contest, I think its pretty amazing how a high percentage are actually very good considering they were probably scribbled about cats in a 90 second happy hour fueled frenzy.

I wasn't around for those older members of PnQ, I guess I was mid generation coming here in 2008. Another PnQ highlight for me was joining Beyond a Poet's Mind, I think in early 2009, that was the thing that really got me into the site. Talking to other members like Danny, Bliss, Hannah (A Porcelin Heart), Joe, Cara, and Britt among many others and reading their poems helped me along my poetic way.

And vocaroo was another highlight, it was really interesting to hear people reading their poetry. Chelsey you must have good hearing to make out my accent, all I remember was the incessant hum of my laptop fan drowning me out with its background noise!

By the way what happened with Angelina in The Club, the musician one??

JPM reminded me of one of those rare bullies in school that even the teachers and principals did not want to mess with most of the time lol

I miss those playful religious arguments I used to have with Angelina the atheist concert piano player

  • Britt

Angelina was actually on not too long ago! I chatted with her a bit but haven't seen her since.

  • ddavidd

She was a talent specially in the beginning before bob and this site spoil her fortes.

yes I had those religious discussions with her. She could not get along with Aria but she was fine with ddavidd.

Ah, Angelina. She popped in for a bit to make some announcements in the club, but that was months ago at least. I have no concept of time, so it could've been more than a year ago. She hasn't been an active member in ages! I miss that chick.

I totally remember the hum too, Colm! that was strange but your voice overpowered it times 1000!...you got that perfect library voice , where you gather kids on a rug, give them milk and cookies and read a story lol

mannnnn Ive been here since i was 12 yrs old, none of these names ring a bell. Hmm, I'm grown up now and quite the sarcasm queen, I'd love for them to come back and have a throw down hahaha!
