Hey guys... I wanted to share this link with you all. I know some of you on my Facebook have already seen.

Before you watch I would like to say this, I know this group of people here are so diverse in what we believe, this is not me trying to encourage anyone to believe in Christianity, though you obviously hear a bit of my faith in the end, but I want to encourage everyone to do what I did, step out and tell your story. We are all walking stories.

You never know who you can impact by stepping out of your comfort zone, your embarrassment, your shame, and share who you use to be and who you are now. You never know who you can inspire.

This was a 45 minute interview my church had to cut into 4.5 minutes and they cut a lot about me drinking, smoking weed, partying, clubbing, lying, my confused state of mind, but where I am today is such a better place because I CHOSE to get myself out of it. And personally, I chose to go back to my faith.

I believe that no matter what a person believes in (religion wise) we all have this boldness inside of us waiting to tap into it, so be bold, tell your story and help a stranger overcome what they are going through by sharing how you got through something similar.

This is very brave and you show great courage.

I admire the strength you have gained through your faith.

    As for me?
I tend to tell my story through some of the stuff I write on here.

Darkness has a way of finding me, yet I have learned to live with it.
I have found without it, I cannot write.

So if I am posting strange stuff then I am in a strange moment.

Sounds odd, but makes sense to me.

Thank you both a ton :)

Darren, writing is an awesome start to telling your story to strangers! whether it be darkness or uplifting, its an opportunity for someone to either reach out to you or be inspired by you.

Writing has its own courage in it and I love seeing it here!

Chelsey, you are an inspiration to change your life around. I love that you have such a passion for God. :).

For me personally religion makes me feel isolated and alone. I don't know why exactly though. But I have been sober (from alcohol) and clean from self harm for months. I've done it on my own as well. And I'm not going to say I'm fully happy because I'm not. All I can say is live your life and you will feel so good. I know it's cliche but it's true. Do what you love andddon't fear what people think. Because in the end it's your life not theirs. Also find good positive people. :).

Absolutely agree. I do this book study with a group of girls on this book about "you are more than you've become" ...my pastor wrote it....and we focus basically every week about how life is about choices. You have to choose wisely even who you hang out I with because they affect you.

Yes. And in this world nowadays it's very hard to trust anyone... that's why it's difficult to make friends. But if you do treasure them. :). And the choice thing yes. It's hard to love yourself but you have to. Just do it. Even small steps help
