    Dear Jane

    Dear jane

    chasing memories of you
still wondering why you left so soon
there's photo's of you on the wall
as i just start to bawl

    Going down memory lane
i see these letter's that say Dear Jane
    chasing memories is not easy
but i still have hope I know it's cheesy

but you were my lover and friend
    right up until you went
Dear Jane i wrote you this
because you are who i miss

    " Forever Now"

    Chasing "Now"
    The constant succession of seconds,
    no prospect, no past.
    The only predicate
is the second with no length
    that stretches forever,
    with no breadth
    that impregnates our memories,
    with no depth,
    that graves in our souls.

    This very moment,
    which is already gone:
the split of zero to numbers
    to degrees,
    the split of no space
    to distance,
    no time to the time,
    no length to the lengths,
    no solidity
    to the universe
    of objects.

    Healing-

    Daisy sunsets blush,
    chasing hope among the sky.
    Butterfly wings waltz.

    Shedding a past love,
    metamorphosis begins.
    broken hearts have healed.

    Romance blooms inside
    the stars that illuminate
    a once darken life.

    Chasing Memories

I have never been good at letting go of the past

I walk round with a constant taste of nostalgia hidden under my tongue
And the devil on my shoulder is always whispering into my ear
About my secrets of yester-year and the shame that I swept under the rug

When I was told that I need to grow up, I dug my heels in and thrust my chin defiantly at the sky
Even though I was too old for such childish behaviours
I'm still waiting for Peter Pan to swoop through my window and take me away to Neverland
(I already feel like it's home)

My heart is always full of longing for a time that's past
And I am left just chasing memories which dance in front of my eyes
But are forever beyond my reach

    Chasing Shadows

When I was younger I would chase shadows
I was always in search of a darkness
That matched that of my soul
Nothing was twisted enough to reflect my complicated teenage emotion
I wouldn't let people identify with me,
Always telling myself that they didn't know me, they didn't understand
When in reality there probably weren't many people that didn't feel like I did
    To one degree or another

When I was a little older I would wander into the sunlight
And reach out with one hand to stroke the edges of the shade
Sometimes I would fall back, sobbing, into the shadows and ask them to take me back
Even then it still felt like home

Now I'm older still and I'm forever growing
Reaching out like a flower, grasping for the sun
Pleading for it to drag me away from the shadows that I used to chase
Because even now that I've stopped chasing, they still have their hold on me
And they don't like me playing hard-to-get

    tick tock

    tick tock
two sounds never meant so much
    there you were chasing time
    while i didn't have a dime
    sitting in that hospital room

    tick tock
tick tock you are my friend
now you so close to the end
    still haven't told you everything
    i guess i'm to blame

    tick tock
    that clock moves agian
    you still chasing time
why did you have to die?
now today the only thing i brought

    is this tick tock

    Chasing Time

    We spend life chasing time
from the womb to timeless tomb
    reaching for the sky sublime
    in a universe with room
    for infinite possibilities
where heaven is just in reach,
    among other realities
in willing minds, hearts and souls
that must work with what is there
    to pursue life's hopeful goals.
Father Time has time to care.

    Chasing Shadows

    Chasing shadows in the sun
when we are not on the run
the earth turns and it is night
    always darkest before light.

The truth can heal or can burn
    dark images may cause concern
    though lifeless without a host
back to sun we follow ghosts.

    Face the light shadows follow
our fear of dark is shallow
    Chasing creatures in the sun
when they are not on the run

    Rebirth-

My heart was an emblem of pyre
turned to ash from chasing love.
    I became synchronized with loneliness
until your smile resurrected my vigor.
Truthfully I've always burned for your
temptation but you're the only one who saw
the beauty of a Phoenix within my soul.

Number 8 was a pretty good one too

7 syllables in each line... plus the repetition on the end in the starting line to be used in the ending.

Can I call that a refrain? or just repetition or rhyme?

Definitely not a refrain because the lines are a bit different. But it is pretty good :)
