    All My Tomorrows

I weave dreams with the same fingertips that have stroked your face
Wondering if maybe some of your magic will seep into my loom
And my tapestry will become a photo
Adorning the mantelpiece in a home
Where an angel with your eyes plays with the cat
And you (older, but no less handsome) gently prevent them from pulling on its tail

The logical part of my brain knows that in years to come
Your kisses won't be the same
But even with doses of your cynicism running through my veins,
My fairy tale heart tells me it's possible
(Though maybe it's unfair of me to talk of you cynicism like that-
You don't doubt our love any more than I do)
You're not the perfect romantic that any girl would want
If you were I imagine I'd tire of it before too long anyway
Besides, you're sweeter than any chocolates
And more beautiful than any rose you could ever give me

Two and a half years ago you were written into the story of my life
You shifted my focus- I became a moon orbiting you
And it might be my imagination, but all the stars seem to shine brighter now that you're here
We are still young, and call me naïve, but I dream of spending all my tomorrows in your arms

    Journey's End
    Omnia mutantur, nihil interit

'Everything changes, but nothing is truly lost."
though revolution rarely comes without a cost
stars shall burn while around one we turn
    until our heavenly bodies adjourn
to a universal back hole in space
where all metaphysically fits in one place

    Frozen Coffee

    I rode a highway, paved
    in pathways of addiction,
    bathing in vodka nightmares
of a tearless soul who basked
    in a bed of thorns,
    while I withered in scorching
    sunrises and sets,
    becoming a fallen flower
    petal, drenched in
    red.

    I never saw it coming,
    letting go of fear
    became an adventure
    whilst mourning a frozen
    heart upon a midsummer
    night in June.

    Staying sober became
    a crusade within my soul,
    kicking the bottle from
side to side on a scuffed
    street of darkness.

    Nibbling on an ink pen
    in a little coffee shop,
I gaze upon a frozen heart,
    birthed with familiar eyes
of a face I once knew,
    watching them sipping coffee
in a way that only a sober soul
    can understand....

    journey's end

    We are going high.
That day we were flying kites.
    I remember so well.
    That smile on your face.

It's like you were in a haze.
    You are my guardian angel.
    Without you I am nothing.
And with you I am saved.

You looked at me and said
    you gonna kiss me?
I looked into those beautiful eyes
    And kissed you.

    Now I can't stop.
    I love you dearly.
    And this I know.
    You love me to.

Then you said I have to go.
    Because it's starting to snow.
    But i'll be back agian.
    Because this is not our.
    Journey's end.

    A Long Walk Home

    We all have dreams
    of places we've been
and things we want to do,
    but what happens when
    that is

    forgotten?

    Moments with lost love
become just a memory's memory or what might have been
    a memory.

    Or words unsaid die away
    in their lack of existence;
    in their tortured misuse.

    Where do they go?

    And what happens to them?
    We all know feelings
    get recycled and actions
    get documented, but what
    happens when a single rose
    appears at your door with
the words I love you scribbled
on a card loosely tied to the stem?

Or the joy drives you to play
with everyone you meet for a
    fabulous day? What happens to
    those memories?

    And where do they go?

    letting go of fear

    Push down
    Laughed at
    Called names
    Scared of

    I'm scared of them.
Because the fear, turn to hate.
Of what people might do next.
    They say you don't belong.

    I always have bad dreams.
    Of what they might do.
This I can no longer bare.
It feels like i'm in a nightmare.

    But now i'm ready.
Ready to be letting go of fear.
    This I know, for sure.
That if it weren't for people like that.
    I wouldn't be here.

The Lie ( it changes nothing)

    "Nothing changes if nothing changes,"
the light and darkness just rearranges.
Voids in outer space remain the same
    Avoid nothing, its another name
for a vacuum in the universe
between hell and heaven which came first
we all must live before we all die
Nothing ever changes is a lie.

Isn't that what said last time lol xD

  • Baby Rainbow

Yes but I didn't think we would need it with only 7 poems. Clearly, we do need it. ;)

  • Beautiful Soul

We'll it's not a bad thing because it just says that people write good and different poems :).

  • Baby Rainbow

Yes but no one is voting - that is the problem.

    7 poems - 8 votes... :(
    where is everyone???

  • Beautiful Soul

That is always a problem :(. Maybe you should cut back to one poem person?

  • Baby Rainbow

    That doesn't really solve anything.

You guys will not believe this, but 2 more people voted... so now 10 votes... but it has now made 5 poems tied, all with 2 votes each! haha.

I might have to declare this one a draw... :/
