Hey guys, I was just checking in, and looking through the things I have marked in my "favorite topics" list and I found this!

    http://vocaroo.com/

It was something Yaki got us going on, and it was a fun way to connect with one another, and to experience each others poetry! It's was a lot of fun to hear people read their own stuff, and way cool to hear how some of the swill I've written sounds decent in some of those amazing accents (Rabea, Bliss, Yaki, Jane)

So as Yaki would say-Come up!

    It'll be fun I promise.

That was great! I love the way your voice sounds. Especially the way it almost wavers a bit (Idk if that was because you were nervous or not, but either way it sounded nice)

And you really brought your poem to life, I could definitely hear the emotion in it, and that made it all the more enjoyable.

    I love hearing people recite/read poetry. It's always so.....captivating.

Definitely nervous, but also it's a little bitof how I wanted the poem to go into. Not entirely like that. It's still not how it should be recited lol. At least when I read it in my head, it sounds great.

I too love hearing people recite/read poetry. Will you be reciting too?

EDIT : if you do, could you recite this poem of yours?

Let me see how the speaker on this thing is, and I'll give that one a try for you, since you were so brave as to be our first one :)

    -----edit------
Sorry! The built in mic on my computer won't work :( I need to get an external mic

Luce, your voice is beautiful! I agree with Nevi about the emotion, there was such a build-up as well....

Ah I was almost done recording and my dog starts barking like crazy because my mom's home. I feel like I can only do this when I'm home alone lol.

Thank you Mary Anne! I'm patiently waiting for you to recite a poem. In this thread, I feel like a kid in a candy store and even though I am not much of a candy eater, I feel excited.

Edit, lol... your dog too wants to recite.

That's awesome! I'm excited too, hope others join.

Finally did it! Waited til my mom went upstairs.... was a lot less nervous than I thought I'd be. I just recited my new poem Stunts, since I didn't have anything else in mind.

    Thanks guys!

Oh wow, sure I can. Have to finish these math problems first for school tommorow then I'll try to recite it. You could do another one too, or one of your newest, would love to hear :]

Darren, I still remember you reciting one of my poems, however long ago it was, and your British accent!

  • Darren

    Mmm...

    I remember that too.

I am not a fan of my voice. But I did read somewhere that most people hate the sound of their own voices.

Luce, yours was great too. You are both very brave.

    Thank you! Darren,

though I seriously love your accent, and how you pronounced one of my poems. I hope you recite one of your poems if you have some spare time.

I've heard that as well Darren.... it's just weird to hear your own voice played back, unless you do it often I guess. I always think I sound different in person. It's fun sharing it here though because we all have that interest in poetry, and it's neat to hear how others use language. You should recite one if you have time!

    Okay, here's The Well:

And Jenni, you know how awesome I think your accent is from talking on skype. You did great, it was very articulate. Didn't sound too flustered at all :]
