Surely there is hypocracy in sentencing somebody to death and claiming the religious moral high ground? Just goes to show how women are treated in these places, i.e. have no rights and very little free will.

Hellon, I just read this story yesterday and shared it on my Facebook. It IS heartbreaking that death can even be considered an option, just for choosing another religion, like in her case, Christianity. So much persecution that still goes on... probably more stories that we don't even know about.

It will always happen when humans are involved, as we are still a flawed and primitive species.

Sadly I heard a priest say that he knew it sounded strange coming from a man in his chosen vocation , but he said "some of the most dangerous people in the world are religious fanatics"

I rarely use the world "hate" for it pulls in such a negative energy but I have to say, this is one of the finest example why I @#$% Hate religions!!!
I know this is probably not the right place and time to ask this but what do you think would happen if lets say this would happen to a Muslim woman in Italy or God forgive in Israel???

Jesus told us directly that we Christians would receive persecution. It is indefinite that what he said was true. After all, Christianity is the most persecuted religion in the world. And that is why it is still happening (as it has for the past thousands of years). Always remember (if you are Christian) that Jesus also told us to love these people and pray for those who persecute you. (Mat 5:44).
