    A Pained Soul
    By Yakori bint Muhammed

Just sharing my thoughts and present predicament engulfing me and those around me.
This is a very long article and if you happen to read it all, my gratitude has no bounds, THANK YOUUU.

Haven't watched several times in the media, the state of affairs in Sudan and South Sudan. It gives me an insight to the irreconcilable wars that lead to the break-up of the initial country, Sudan. Though, they've been divided they're still thriving to tread on with economic deflation in Sudan and the crisis in Juba, South Sudan.

That just makes me wonder for how long will people keep massacring themselves due to ethnic and religious differences. The Muslims of Sudan who are predominantly fair in complexion feel superior to the Christians of South Sudan who're dark. And because of that the former treats the latter as slaves and that's the bone of contention that led to their disintegration. Thus, seceding.
Another catastrophic incidence in history is that of the Rwandan genocide in 1994. It crippled the Tutsi tribe as 800, 000 of their people where fatally annihilated. The majority hutu tribe massacred the Tutsi in what is known as a colossal massacre of a group of people. This is an ethnic crisis that rewrote the Rwandan history and the world at large.

It just makes me wonder. Do all countries need to go through a transitional phase of wars? Hence, to be able to live in peace and harmony or better still disintegrate and live happily independent(and in some cases dwindling).
In as much as we've found ourselves with a formidable predicament. Nigerians might just end up going on a war someday. It can be in our lifetime or that of our children. Only God knows. Why are we so intolerant of one another. Are we so bigoted that we're inclined to be selfish and in-compassionate towards one another.

BH on the surface screams islamic extremists wanting Nigeria to be adherents of only one religion - Islam. While the truth is that, the sponsors of this sect are unfortunately selling a fallacy that western education is forbidden. Thus, inciting violence and massacring people is the only way for people to accept their bigoted wish.
Forgetting Nigeria is a multi-religious and cultural country that practices democracy not totalitarianism. So everyone is free to be an adherent to any religion.
Islam from the onset is being painted horrendously, as a manipulative and bloody religion. Media keeps broadcasting prejudice reports adding more pain to the injury.

So in reality, BH is a politically and ethnically motivated sect not religion as they claim. But because the perpetrators are unfortunately followers of Islam and exist in a particular region, it seems true. Whereas it isn't.
With that you can deduce that those swines have affluent and influential people in the country from both religions sponsoring them on their selfish cause.
But who are they? Without getting to uproot those sponsors, the crisis can't be solved.

They have more than 2, 000 camps in Sambisa forest in Borno state, where they reside with their cohorts and the recently abducted girls. They have medical supplies, cars, motor cycles, foods, electricity and at times they get delivered Mr. Biggs snacks to them via helicopters. At different occasions the villagers have sighted helicopters dropping items for them.
The military, civilian JTF and some villagers are all privy of this information. They know where BH dwells but they say, they gave no orders from above to act upon them.
However, no media can report such issues because of the repercussion they'll eventually be subjected to.

So we should ask ourselves who're the sponsors of this sect members? What is their motive of killing innocent people? Why do they want to taint the Muslims by creating this faction? Why do they want Nigeria broken-up? Is this a revenge to what happened in the Biafran war? Are MEND and BH co-related? Why are some of the threats made by the leader of the BH sect corresponding with ex-militant Asari Dakubo's threats too?

I'm not being pessimistic but rather factual. I've prayed and prayed and I've continued to pray. I know God doesn't desert his servants. However, I do know that God uses people to bring about an efficacy when an adversity befalls one. So I'm begging and calling upon the good people of Nigeria to please do something.
I want to visit my homestate without the fear of being kidnapped and not getting dilapidated by an explosive device. My parents and brothers can't visit home for the fate that might befall us as enemies make use of such opportunities to kill as they will.
My heart bleeds for my town in shatters.
I can't walk around freely, I can't visit relations and friends, as I want. My heart keeps pulsating due to restlessness and uncertainty.
    My heart bleeds!
    God come to our aid.
    I'm broken, we're broken.

To all those going through similar or the same predicament, I pray God in His infinite mercy to shower His Rahma upon all affected in the diaspora, strengthen those that have lost their loved ones and may the souls of the departed rest in eternal peace. Ameen ya rabban alamin.

Yakori, I know you are particularly affected by this conflict, but I can only suggest that individual protest , multiplied many-fold, is the only action available to those not in power.
That is, except for the few who are determined to BECOME the power.

    Hhhmm!
I do agree with you Sir. Larry. I couldn't have thought of any other plausibility than what you suggested.

But, I can say that the citizens here in Nigeria's main concern, is just the lack of commitment and will by this regime to end the insurgency. The warning signs have been prominent enough for the government to have pre-acted before they started launching their attacks.

That's our mutual pain and we just don't know when all will change. Nevertheless, I do know these terrorist aren't spirits, neither are they immune to be chastised by law. My only fear is the idea of considering 'an amnesty' for those barbarians. There isn't any report on such yet but I pray it doesn't even come to that.

I've never seen a global collective effort that's distinctively involved, like that of the abduction of the teenage students from their hostel. People are just trending on twitter with the hashtag #BringBackOurGirls, concerned citizens creating support and awareness on websites and various protests across the diaspora. It's very humbling and heart-warming and we couldn't have asked for more. Pain, concern and fear is mutual to all irrespective of who're the victims.

The spirit behind this purpose have definitely succeeded in conveying concern and condemnation against this inhumane act. It's so horrendous and barbaric of them terrorist to have involved these young girls. They're innocent, it's rather unfortunate that they're subjected to the most traumatic emotional, physical and mental disorientation.

As for wanting to be the 'POWER', to end any crises. That might eventually generate confusion and provoke friction with those in the government. Unless it'll be harmless as a dove. But in most cases concerned citizens involved end up in an unfavorable circumstance.

Thank you for your deepest concerns and consistent motivating thoughts. I'm really grateful.
