Are we still alive??

For a few weeks this site was down and I felt I missed it so much but I am not sure if I miss it more now than then, when it is not down. Because you would feel coldness and death more from the close angles, when you could feel the default of breathing and presence, than from far and absence.

I've cherished being able to read others work and share my own... but one can only come on when free or if they want to. Thankful that people still write and are inspired.

I know we haven't had a contest or challenge in the main forums for a few months. Maybe we could at least try to get one started up, or any fresh ideas? I'd be willing to host.... Baby Rainbow dedicated a lot and she is awesome for that :)

We should come with new ideas of competition .

On the other tommy of thoughts, folks would love to fallow the old patterns, nothing anew. This is the very reason death occurs.

I like formed poetry too, right after I deform it.

Geez Larry, you're going to scare all of the eager participants away :D

I do think it's a great idea though to make it more of a challenge so it's not so open-ended. There's always some new form to try.... as long as it doesn't have to rhyme haha.

    Lol Mary anne,

    you are good at rhyming.

And Ddavidd... the word "deform" confuses me, in what sense do you mean?

  • ddavidd

The way Anton Chekov used to. He used to write perfect short novels, then he censored them by cutting their opening or what is called introductions to the body of the story, for the sheer reluctance for forms, before publishing them.
And as we know he was the best short novelist of all times.

    Ddavidd,
I would more expect you to deconstruct forms & then reform them.

  • ddavidd

Haha I know. I was only horsing around reversing the word formed to deformed

    Edited

Though I know that deconstruction is the right way to put it. Thanks

So thanks for putting the last ring to it ( syntheses) : form it, deform it, then reform it again.
