just need some thoughts on adoption. Do you think that it is right to have interracial or transracial adoption? i know that every chlid needs a home, but do you think it makes a big difference in the way the child lives their life or the extended family itself will react to having a child of a different race as a part of their family? |

I don't think race is an issue at all. What is important is that the child be placed with a family that will care and love them. As for what others think who cares who are they to judge. I do think a child of a different race should learn about their customs as well as yours. Thats what makes the world go round. To learn more about others and never be judgmental. If the family adorting the child has any question in their mind of how they feel about having someone in their family of a different race I think they should not go through with the adoption. It could only cause peoblems for the child knowing that he/she was adopted by someone who has issues with their race. Not good for the child would send a negative message and the child would pick up on those feelings. |

my best friend was chinese but she was adopted and now shes american. i think its just important that the kid is loved in the family, cuz i mean where my best friend came from she wouldnt have survived very long, but thankfully she was adopted. i think adoption is very good cuz otherwise the poor kids found on the streets have nobody who loves them.... |
