    Robert De Niro:

" If you were bitten by a mad infected dog who will you blame? the dog or the owner?
Definitely the owner, so, all the blame is on the USA government's shoulders for adapting and supporting a state like Israel."

"My name is Robert De Niro and I acknowledge that apartheid exist."

    Jimmy Carter:

when Israel (occupies) territories deep within the West Bank and connects 200 settlements or so with each others with a road and then prohibits the Palestinian from using that road, and in many cases even crossing that road, this perpetuates even worst instances of apartness, or apartheid, than we witnessed is South Africa.

Palestine (Gaza District specifically) is the biggest prison on Earth. And when Israhell tells Palestinians to evacuate their homes, it means GO DIE. Where to evacuate? There's only the big Mediterranean sea in front of them.

"the blame is on the USA government's shoulders for adapting and supporting a state like Israel."
    - Billions of dollars are being spent by the US government to build Israel, and in return, millions of US citizens are suffering.

Latest news as reported here, 4 children killed on a Palestinian beach. Brief ceasefire seemingly agreed for tomorrow.

I know very little about the middle east historically and about Israel/Gaza but even leaving all that aside, I think the killing of civilians in practically any situation should be condemned. Israel should be put under pressure from the UN etc because it appears they are in breach of different international laws. America as an ally should imo take a firmer stance and threaten to pull support if the killing of civilians continues. The whole thing is a mess and maybe the only good that can come out of it is if people put more pressure on Israel (and on Hamas if they continue with rocket fire) and the two sides say enough is enough and sit down to thrash out a peace deal. I don't know if that's possible, I just feel sorry for all those caught up in the bloodshed.

Israel have started a ground strike on Gaza.

    http://www.rte.ie/news/2014/0717/631268-gaza-israel/

Which of course is going to result in more civilian deaths. Just after Israel called the killing of 4 children on a beach a 'tragic accident.' It certainly appears that Israel seems to be getting away with this very lightly: we all know how messy it can be when other countries get involved in these conflicts but surely the US has to take some action against Israel if this keeps up: pull support unless a ceasefire is implemented?

I actually think its a possibility that Hamas may be intentionally inviting Israel to attack in order to gain support, as a sort of blood sacrafice to highlight their situation.

Bill Clinton makes some points worth reading I feel

Sometimes in history those who where victims get a brief chance to change their miserable circumstances and often they F the chance up so badly. They prove they had deserved everything they have got.
things happens in the history on purpose

I do not like taking sides in these matters, but in this case it is a matter of conscience: Israel is in the wrong.
