M&MS BATTLE THREAD

    9)

    At midnight
    she drinks coffee
    if things aren't
    the way she planned.

    By 2 am
    she's covered in
    paint trying to escape.

    Then at 5
    there's a knock
    at the front door
    he has roses and tears.

    When the sun
    begins to rise
    tomorrow

    everything will
    be back to
    normal.

    10.)

    It's the blue face,
    that's slick,
    that ticking, twitch,
    the thick blue stitching
    across the wrist,
    the orange numbers,
    silver, scratched, a polish
    and a thrumming click
    ...my new watch is sick.

    7 line etheree

    Strum,
    volume
    wooden hum,
    nylon warble
    mellow, simple lake
    golden, lilting, I need
    only my guitar in hand.

    Today is only a
    single day.

    Yesterday's
    nothingness
    passed away
    with night

    and tomorrow
    is promising
    something
    so much more

    than this.

It's your end so we'll pretend
to love you all you want. I
doubt a kiss widens the rose
well aware its time is almost
    gone. You know, there's nothing
more to you to us than this.

    But it matters not,
so we'll pretend to love you
all you want. Then shed more
than tears at your grave once
    and never, together and alone

    forever.

If You Can't Hang by: Sleeping With Sirens

    Keep in mind,
    we are hurricanes
    and foolish spirits
    who talk like
    timebombs waiting
    to win.
    So if you don't
    plan to commit
    to a life of calming
    the storm inside, then go,
    take the competition
    and the clouds you tried
    to blind me in.

    Trains bow before him and
    traffic lights are stupidly transfixed
    by his human nature....
He twiddles his thumbs, rocks his knees
and grunts to stale, smoky air as
    patience ages his soul.

    He stops every few miles,
feeling like the world doesn't need him
to move forward, that maybe he doesn't
    exist, at all.

    my love's locked
    in my mouth, but
    she has no knowledge
    that she belongs to
    only me. Shall she
    have the last laugh,
    or shall I?

    into water - into red
    deep as the rose
    creaking nights stormed
    into empty-hearted homes
    flinging strings of thinly calm
    moonlight carrying her on

she - the one made of roses.

I like knees that do not knock,
    that do not stay,
    that do not lock.
I like knees that have more ease,
    that shiver and quiver
    in a summer breeze.

    Dear midnight,
    I dislike your jumbling chimes,
    your slick black night, and
    cold clocks ticking into tomorrow.

    Awaiting dreams
    of cold steel gray,
    I create teams
    for darkness to sway.
    Clarity runs on rivers
    I have not swam,
    keeping to nightly shivers,
    howls, and ghostly dams.

    Release
    omnipotent
    prompting light to escape
    exposing caves of bitterness
    freedom.

The life i live is odd,

    there's shapeless hope
    molding rain

    as sour grapes poison
    your favorite wine.

    And here i am,
    dying in my own arms,

    again.

You say I am so young,
    you don't know the life
    I live.

    So remember me now
    as I hold you close
    and whisper,

    "To fly among
    the rose's sweet
    pastel roses at
    the end..."

    I will kiss you
    before continuing,

    "That is my
    final wish."
