This video clip is more than a year old and...honestly, the more I watch this type of thing the more cynical I become as to the authenticity of them...sorry to say so but I feel it's a fake.

  • ddavidd

I think from now on I have to put you to ignore.
You sabotage something obvious like this. It talks a lot about who you are.
Are you absolutely blind? Watch bbc they're showing these thing all the time. All the news channel talking about around 800 death least 40% children. The very prime minister of Israel said that he regrets the death of children. Now you think any body needs to go out of his/her way to fake movies about this things?
    You are laughable!!

  • Hellon

What do you mean??? Sabotage...that's a bit harsh eh? I'm just a realist I guess ddavidd...if you watch the girl very closely her eyes close just a fraction too soon BEFORE the explosion I feel. No doubt in my mind that a bomb when off there but...was the girl superimposed onto the video after the event? Like I said...I'm a self confessed cynic...

    Add heartless to that

  • Hellon

No...not heartless at all....far from it. I just look at the setting...how pretty her little cheeks look with the Syrian flag painted on...can't you see that it's propaganda at it's very best...

    EDIT...

and...once more you have added something to your second post AFTER I had answered you!

    In a bias eyes Yes.

What evidence you have that the move is one year old??

I wasn't trying to be nasty or make you look bad ddavidd ...I just read the comments after the video clip and...4th one from the end suggested to google the origins...so, I did...

Sorry Hellon for my crankiness. You are right about the time but I am not sure about the girl . I emailed my sister in London, she is a film maker. I asked her about the authenticity. The most thing that bothered me was the old man who died. It was so horrible.

Even though this thread was not about the identity of the girl or if she was a Palestinian or Syrian, it was only about a girl singing, but I have to admit that my assumption was that she is a Palestinian and I did not bothered to check the flag and assumed it was Palestinian. It is sloppiness in my part. Also I could be more resourceful about the date which I wasn't.
In the last four yeas this is the second time that it happened to me first it was about a quote of " pastor Martin Niemoller " that they posted as "Bertolt Brecht" on the Facebook and then this. It could be few more but I do not remember now.

  • Hellon

No worries ddavidd...it's very easy to get caught up in the emotional side of what's happening in Syria and Palestine...my heart bleeds for both of the innocent citizens of both countries but...the realist in me still tries to separate the truth from the propaganda ..if you see that as a fault in me then...that's just too bad...

  • Michael D Nalley

    "Michael..your link dated January 2013???"
yes I realized that, but the video in question was first posted(as far as you have proved 2/9/13

The alleged civilian areas being targeted by Israeli has been leaked and the current POTUS accused the administration of doing that as his has been accused of violating UN agreements that all means possible be exhausted to prevent this from happening so that a little girl may sing in the streets of her country with no fear of attack

There is no fault in truth.
fake never contributes to the justice.

    Edit
My sister emailed me and said it looks authentic though. Though she said you would never know with nowadays technology.

Michael l...I only watch CNN as a last resort and that's when I'm overseas and it's the only English speaking channel available and then...generally I will find something else to do like...watch paint drying so...does that answer your question????

  • Michael D Nalley

About CNN yes, but not about the UN

Before Bush Jr decided to declare war on Irag without UN backup even Bush Sr. respected the UN

Do you believe the UN did not have a shelter in Gaza?

Hellon, I was not trying to be diplomatic, I was merely being truthful . I think your problem is that you have lost the touch, the sensitivity, of understanding the difference!!

  • Hellon

I meant that your sister's comment appeared to be diplomatic... meaning that she's not quite sure if the video clip was fake or not...I guess that could also be taken as being an honest answer and yet...because of the nature of this thread and the previous input I just took it as being diplomatic....sitting on the fence sort of answer...

She's singing in Arabic...with a certain Syrian dialect (Noura might understand it)

I only understood the last sentence (O people who their homes are unsafe)

I got this from a reliable source who, like me, believes the video clip is a fake...

" She was talking about how these men around her are ready to bomb themselves to meet al houriat in heaven."

  • Sunshine

    Lol, nooo

    hellon the song says

"Hanen lel Houria Hanen, yal Shaaeb, bayto moch amen"

try read these as you listen to the girl.

    The translation goes this way:

hanen means : feeling nostalgic, yearning, longing for.. and hence the song says :

"I am yearning, yearning for freedom
oh nation whose house is unsafe"

most probably your source, which I did not check, thought that the word

"hanen" is " houria", because of her dialect. But the word houria, makes no sense anyway in this song Lol, perhaps whoever posted in the source you've provided has a huge imagination.

this is the song by another kid:

Well...if you read my earlier post you will see that my original thoughts were that she was singing of peace /freedom. I was then told otherwise and I have not been able to get in touch with my source (a Syrian national) so far today so...I'll leave it for now.

Jeez, guys. Hooooorieh. Lol. This song like got famous here. And it's obvious that it's fake.

Edit: Or at least that's what Rafiq Lotof said on our national channel. O.o
ANYWAY. Whether it's hoorieh or horrieh or whatever, the video is about the "revolution" in Syria and it's really old and has nothing to do with Gazza. And it's fabricated.
