    What does Houria, hoorieh or horrieh actually mean? All the same thing or not? I knew a lady from somewhere in the middle east...can't remember where now and she used to say a word...something like...hoora...(that's what is sounded like to me) meaning something was free. That's why I thought she was singing about freedom originally.

    Well...I'm actually so glad that I kinda got it right...I thought she (my neighbour in Korea actually) was saying something that sounded like Horra...free...when she was asking me in for coffee..I always thought it a very strange thing (would she charge others) and..that's why the word stuck in my head after ...gosh..12 years or so...

    OK I have now heard back from my source and the word we seem to be stumbling on is Hooriah. Abed...you say it means mermaid while my source says it means "a fine woman in heaven". Either way I would feel that, translated to English, it's farcical and therefore...I would be inclined to lean with the translation that she's talking about suicide bombers...as in meeting something better in heaven...like the seven virgins that's promised or...like the mermaid is that another myth???

    Hooriah (or Hoorieh - according to the dialect, but in formal arabic it is Hooriah) = mermaid/fine woman in heaven... all those meanings

    but the girl in the vid was singing Horrieh = freedom

    Hellon, I am lebanese, and above all I am a translator.
    Despite knowing your source more than you know me, I am telling and assuring you for the second time.

    The song is about freedom, it's well knowm among syrians as well these days. It has nothing to do with virgins or b*tches.

    I wrote you the line she was saying in english to make it easier.

    Horriaah=freedom, is spelled like : ho-reyeah
    While
    Horiah=virgin, is spelled like: who-ree-yeah.

    Anyway it's up to you, to believe either part. It wont change facts.

    The left and right wings have been connected by racism in the US. Even the term racism here has been expanded to different degrees of extremes and Hitler's birthday was celebrated by the Klu Klux Klan in my home state in 2012

    It was said that Hitler employed Nostradamus' so called poetic prophetic quatrains . If you google Blue Turban you might find images than range the leader of Hezbollah to Barack Obama
