The Big C... Challenge

I am hosting this challenge as there are many people on this site who have been affected by cancer in some way or other. I realise these poems might be a bit deep, or personal to share, however, I think it will be a great way for people to express themselves about it.

So... I challenge YOU ALL to try this. Write a poem about cancer in any way you wish: a formed poem, a personal story, a letter to someone you know, a poem describing the disease itself, or it might even be an animal or other living thing which has this disease. There are no rules - just go ahead and write it out.

Each member can submit up to 2 poems.

PM me your poems by Thursday, and I will hold voting on Friday. I will make up a prize for the winner(s)

Wanted to thank you, like Hannah, for posting this. I think it will be good to release that emotion as well as share stories/memories, since it affects so many people.

I appreciate that people might not want to rush these poems, so if you do need me to extend the deadline, please say so, and I will give more time.

I think voting will be tough.

Again, it is one topic, which although everyone has been affected by it, you have all written about it in such very different approaches!
