I will be making all the threads tonight, so that all I have to do tomorrow morning, is add in the prompts to each one.

No poems will be counted if submitted before, or after the deadlines.

You may use this post to ask any questions you may have.

    _______________________________________

** This will run from Monday 9am - Friday 9pm.

** Each club will have their own thread, and anyone from their club can post at anytime. If the clubs are uneven then tough --- you will just have to bribe your team mates to take part.

** There will be no rules on posting.. each member can continue to post as many times as they like - however, double posts from another member at the same time, still will not be counted. So you will have to work out which one gets deleted.

** INDEPENDANTS will have a thread of their own, which means anyone that is not in a club, can post on this thread to join at anytime.

    ** NEW PROMPTS
I will be giving out 8 new prompts at the beginning of each of the 5 days!! so 40 prompts in total by the end of the week!! EVERYONE HAS THE SAME PROMPTS!

And finally - I will be awarding prizes for this one!

1st place - the team will decide together which 3 poems of their contest is worthy of nomination and I will nominate them.

2nd place - will send me 2 poems to nominate.

and 3rd place - 1 poem for nomination.

Winners will be the teams with the most amount of poems by the end of the 5 days.

Please remember this is meant to be fun - so please enjoy yourselves. :)

    Good luck all.

    Monday's prompts are:

1.Must include at least one mention of the 5 sense organs... example. sight, see, eyes, watch.

The poem can contain a word relating to a sense, or the action of the sense, such as seeing, watching, or touching, as well as simply, sight, sound, hear etc.

    2. Category: funny!

Poem may be a limerick, it may be a tongue twister. These might help a bit if you are stuck on free verse humour!

    3. Formed poem (any form)

    4. Must mention a country/state/town

Poem can mention any town or state or country.

    5. 30=36 syllables (as it says)

    6. Religion ( poem must use this as it its prompt, you can mention the word religion, or a type of religion, or base the poem on religion itself and beliefs etc.

    7. Special Occasion... birthday, Christmas, first time eating cheese??? :)

Poem for this can even be a silly one, like the first time a child goes potty, or goes to school, as long as you make it out to be a special occasion.

    8. Wild card... your choice of poem.

This poem is your choice, but it must be newly written, and not an existing poem on your account already.

I'm guessing Saffie meant 9am her time.

I'm going to get started. Just wanted to confirm that one member can keep going on their own, right? As long as there are no double posts on the same theme by the club?

Yes it was 9am UK time - and any further challenges by myself will always be UK time :)

Yes - one member can keep posting. As long as you follow the order of prompts, and delete any double posts, as only one will be counted and someone will have to delete theirs and do the next one.

    Just a question

"Wild card... your choice of poem."

Does this mean I have to choose any of the other prompts or that I can truly write whatever I want here? O.o

You can write whatever you want, as long as it is a new poem.

Let me just highlight this poem by everlasting:

    "Okay, Okay

    once, there was a bear

    .....

    that's it."

    Thanks for the laugh haha.

Seems like the clubs are veeery inspired, nice poems all!
