    2. include an item of stationery, pencil, paper etc.

    Ink seems to flow
    From my fingertips
    As I seem to write
    The story of many
    Who have seem
    To have died a
    Tragic way

    3. Crime/prison

I am sitting in this cage
    of unstability, of not knowing
    what is happening next, of
being a part of a plan
that I didn't agree on, of
    hiding behind excuses and
    falling in love
    with more wardens.

    4. homlessness

I'm the most homeless I could be
    now that you're faraway.
When you come back, I'll move
in to you, and I'll be warm again

    Did you know that if
    you smile
    just a little
    that if you show your
    teeth just
    a little,
    they take your syrian
    nationality away
    from you?

    7. Furniture

    A chair is a chair,
you rest your ass on it,
you stand on it to reach the shelves,
you work out on it (don't ask how)
    you have sex on it,
you put your bag on it
    after you come back home
    and when it accidently
    touch your toe,
    you kick it.
    You're such a heartless pervert.

    1. Formed poem included in a free verse.

    Ask me what I hate,
and all I answer you in one
    haiku:

    Formed, forced poetry
that holds no flow and no damn
    meaning. Period.

    2. Stationery

    He's a surgeon today.

    Fingers clinching scalpels,
    cramming the bits
    of malignant tumor outside the
    patients chest where
    organs are nested, half-dead.
    Then the scissors
do their thing. He takes them,
    trying to keep himself
    tranquil, he cuts the fiber
    attentively, then completes the
    stitches, sterilizes
    the wound, checks the bruises.
    He's done it and
    he's proud.

    Tomorrow, maybe,
    he'll be a teacher, reading
    hundreds of papers and
    tending to little children,

    or a musician
    or a dancer
    or a tax-payer

    but never himself again.

    3. Crime/prison

    You little criminal you
licking the inner walls of my chocolate
    jar with your sharp edge
I'll clean you up with my tongue
and throw you to the sink
    to rot

    4. homlessness

    A homeless is a writer
    deprived of his pen

    5. Rhyme.

    Rhyme, I'm no expert
    at making things rhyme
    out of the blue
I have no clue what to do
    and most important of all,
    I have no time.

    6. Category: sad

    Anywhere but here.
    Take me anywhere,
    to your tired chest,
to the tips of your fingers
    that are kneaded with dirt,
to your lips that no longer say
    but bitter things,
    to your tottering feet
    that walked a long way
    to your hopelessness and fear
    but don't leave me here

    7. Furniture

I really have to go to bed
but I smell a win cooking and
I won't give up on my team

    8. About PnQ

    I've been a member since 2009

    1. Formed poem included in a free verse.

    Do you think I'm able
    to write a free verse
    to write a formed verse?
    I'm sick of verses.
By the way, what is the word that
    rhymes with verse?
Maybe I can use it in the rhyme
    prompt.

Okay, this is an acrostic, then.
Please, all I've been doing for the last 4 hours to
    popping out crap poetry that
somehow resembles my face that's not been washed today yet.

    2. Stationery

    You're an eraser
    hungry to swallow my identity
    but problem is
    my poetry is written
    in ink and blood

    3. Crime/prison

    It's a real crime
    to stay awake for continuous
    24 hours, just to write
    for a poetry contest.

    4. homlessness

    Worst thing about
    being homeless is that
    you don't have wifi

    5. Rhyme.

    Rain runs through a drain
    this is so damn plain
    I really need to sleep
    numbness started to creep
    through my fingers
    the light of this screen
    will linger
    for the next few days
    in my brain

    6. Category: sad

    Not ready to
    give birth to this misery
    on this sheet of paper
    no
    not yet

    7. Furniture

    The door is always closed
    and she cries all alone
I wish I knew her secret.

    1. Formed poem included in a free verse.

    My friend is coming
over and I'm scared I'll keep
    counting syllables

    while I talk to him.
These damn haikus are just too
    tiring for me.

    2. Stationery

    Probably
    probably when the libraries
    are closed
    and the rain is falling
    and people are hiding under
    their umbrellas, in taxies,
    between their warm sheets,
    throwing letters and scented papers
    away
    probably
    only then
    you will remember us

    3. Crime/prison

    I want to kill this
spider and cut it to pieces
and see what's inside of his
    sophisticated, little body

    4. homlessness

    Homeland,
can I rest my head against
    your shoulder?
    Can I kiss every crack
    in every street
    in this city?
Will you hold me one more
    time before this rifle
    and this hatred
    kill us both?

    5. Rhyme.

    I'm laying on the floor
    because it's hot in here
    can't stand the heat anymore
will get up and grab a beer

    6. Category: sad

    He only calls me
    after 00:00

    she thought

He might not even like my body,
    just my voice

    she thought

    7. Furniture

I've put you in a frame
and tucked you in a napkin
    and layed you there
    in my closet
    and locked it

    you're mine forever

. Formed poem included in a free verse.

    Alright, if you could
see what this form is, then you
    surely are so smart.

    2. stationery

    My pen just died
I killed it with too many
    metaphors
    that make no sense

    3. Crime/prison

    I feel like choking every
thin-waisted bitch that shows on TV
    and advertises a diet pill.

    4. homlessness

Home is the feeling I have
    after every short conversation
    with you on the phone

    5. Rhyme.

    This sky can still bear
    our prayers
to a god that is standing there
    clear and bare

    6. Category: sad

    Fat fat fat
    I am just that

    7. Furniture

    This house is full of
    tables, couches, beds, doors,
I also have a big TV.
    But it still feels empty,
as I lay here alone on the floor,
    you see.

    1. Formed poem included in a free verse.

    This window no longer
welcomes fresh air. We need new air,
new lungs, we need a breeze
    that doesn't smell of despair.
We need so many things, like new
    hearts
that don't break, new eyes because
    the ones we have
    have witnessed so much death

    and most of all, we
need a god inside each one
    of us. We need it.

    2. stationery

    Sand in my toenails
    sand in my bikini
    sand in my eyes
and a pen in my hand
    I should write only
    some more

    3. Crime/prison

    Hey, you,
    screaming in your lonely dungeon.
    I've heard your screech last
night. I've heard it and it cut deep
    inside my soul
    and stuck in there.

    4. homlessness

    No home
    for the traitor
    no home

    5. Rhyme.

    Brown leaves flying everywhere
    getting whisked away by
    the frosty air
    it's not fair
    to sit all lonely
in such a cold autumn evening

    6. Category: sad

    Her mascara stained
the dress she saved for months
    to buy
    as she ran away crying
    knowing nothing could impress him.

    7. Furniture

To move out of your house
    saying goodbye
to the old walls, to the doorsill
    that learnt your steps
    by heart

    is the worst feeling ever

. Formed poem included in a free verse.

    Tire is bribing my eyes
to sleep and the lights are off
    and I can hear
    the clock ticking and ticking
    so annoyingly above my head

    can I have a bit
    of peacefulness, please? Just for
    one night, I promise.

    2. statinery

    Papers and memories
    flying together in perfect
    harmony
    inside a poet's heart

    3. Crime/prison

    Iron bars are unbreakable
    only if
    you believe so

    4. homlessness

    I miss you, home.
Tell me, have they reached you yet?
    Did they break your doors
    and used the wood to
    warm their cold cold hearts?

    5. Rhyme.

    abby
    is so fabby
    she has written about boobs
    and fart
and she has a golden heart

    6. Category: sad

    No dinner tonight
    same old empty plate
    won't be stained
    with bits of food
    not tonight

    7. Furniture

The fridge is the most tempting
    at night. Just one bite
    two bites
    come on the whole cake
    oh there's an apple there
    two apples
    two apricots
and I'm as full as a snake
    who just swallowed down
    an elephant

    8. About PnQ

    3.
    A little girl's crime was
    to have
    Stabbed her mommy dead
    The sad thing was
She was sleep walking and killed
    Her twin sister instead
So they called her a psychopath

    4.
I've seen lots of homeless women
    Begging for their 2nd chance
But it still makes me sad
That my birth mom used to be one
    too

    5.
    I'm not so bad
    Just a little sad
    This is a world filled
    with never ending darkness
So sue me I'm a little sad

    6.
    Today is the last day
    The mortgage is due today
    We have no money
So I guess it's off with my head

    7.
    The answering machine
    Beeped and a message
    replayed
    "Sorry babe I was stupid
    It'll never happen again
It was a one night stand
    You shouldn't have been home
    so late
You should've stayed at your parents
    Can you please forgive me?"
    What a snake!
She thought as she comes home
    from his funeral

    8.
    Abby
    Noura
    Narph
    Nicko
Thank you all for welcoming me
    into this ship

    Steph I love you
    Bitchy as you are
    I'm your joker
    And you're my lil
    demonic sis

No you're not really my sis
Yet I seem to love you and New York is your fav spot

    2.
A laptop filled to the brink
    With poems never published
    A thousand cries avoided
    Because she couldn't seem to
    open up

    3.
    Mommy, daddy is sorry
I heard him tell me he was
    last night
He came to me in a dream
He wasn't bloody like last time
Crying he said it was all his fault
For hurting you for years on end
The words and the cuts and bruises
    that marked
Your very skin that's what he said
    It's alright mommy he's glad he's dead
He's just sorry you had to pay the price
    and rot in this place
    Called a prison ward

    4.
    She's homeless
For daring to bare his child
    Carrying a bundle wherever she
    goes
    She's never truly alone

    5.
    Wings mark her skin
And the thing is it was made by a pin
It hurt for day on end
But now they have a beautiful color tin

    6.
    Sad melodies
    Triggers the depression
    Which doesn't help
    A fallen soul on her
    Last days

    7.
    The bed looks so lonely
So I slept on it yesterday
    Today I don't know
Maybe the sofa will be nice
    Since the cutting hurts

    8.
    People here are nice
    Well they vary from
    Naughty and nice
    But the majority are nice
Which is why I like this site

    1.
    Today is my last day
    I work no more
    Till another miracle
Will seem to bloom and grow

    Sadly
    Help
Is a small thing in this world
    Tragic really

    2.
Use a pen that has no ink
    Pen on your skin
And there will make a mark
    Of your own creation

    3.
    The lady from the book
    The Scarlet Letter seemed
    to sin
She had a child out of wedlock
But the sad thing is she
    screwed the priest
    And kept him clean
    Even when she was imprisoned
    in a jail cell

    4.
    My family is poor
    Tis is true
    We don't have a lot
Some days we have so many
    doubts
    And even with me working
It never seems to be enough

    5.
    My heart is breaking
As I was nothing but a fling
    O that treacherous fool
If the last thing I do is rule
    That bloody mule!

    6.
    I don't know how we'll live
    The contract is up
So now how will be live?
I have no choice but to sin

    7.
Static the TV seems to give
    Flipping through channels
    It keeps repeating my struggles

    8.
    The clubs are awesome
    Different people different backgrounds
We all share the love of poetry
    So I guess that's enough

    1.
Brother I seem to be but a mystery
    It's not my fault
I just don't like humanity sticking their nose
    Where it doesn't belong

    I'm sorry
That my life is an utter misery

    2.
    Ink drips from this vein
    It seems to make unique
    Poetry but sometimes
    It just bleeds
    chaos

    3.
    I went to prison
    For doing the right thing
    Murdering someone is a sin
That I know but it was
    Self defense I swear
Yet the jury didn't believe the facts
    That's alright if it meant
    Saving my daughter from her
    Abusive daddy then it's okay

    4.
    The streets are filled
    With people with no homes
I give a dollar maybe five
Sometimes because I know I'll be
    Them one day

    5.
Hey did you seem to hear
That she seemed to kill a peer?
It was all over a damn beer
    That and a given leer
    What sheer tear
    Seem to veer

6.Daughters were what I seemed to have
    Truly desired to have sired
I didn't have that dream come true
Due to the fact that she is now dead

    7.
    Sitting on the sofa
    Staring at the raging fire
    Memories arise
From the cold part of her mind
    The desire
    The hatred
The plotting that seemed to consume her

    8.
    Sometimes this place is home
    Yet other times it's war
    So I stay far away
    But normally I visit it
Because I seem to fit in

    The quality of my poetry
    sucks
I keep making poems but they suck
I'm a duck in a pond of swans

    Darn shame I

    My mind still thinks
No one can seem to change it

    3.) crime
    IT'S A CRIME
    to be this motivated
    at smashing people
    with our poetry.

    4.) homelessness
    All alone
    we sat, wondering
    when the next shipment
    of refrigerators would come.
    There boxes are palaces
    for a homeless street king.

    5.) rhyme
    Under da sea
    the water fleas
    bite and shake
    and make the water
    quake.

    6.) sad
    how every time
    I see a mirror,
    I think,
    what tragedy to be born
    me.

    7.) furniture
I like couches with ripped up sides
    from cats who'd like
to scratch and scratch and scratch
    and then burrow
    inside.

    8.) PNQ
    PNQ
    what a place are you
    sometimes so quiet
    I want to strip naked
    and run through
    your empty halls.

    1.) form inside free

    I'd sit for days,
    stretched in the canopy
    of the sunlight, wishing for

    a book, a look, or
a loving hand to hold mine,
    someone else alone.

    2.) stationary
    her letter comes
    drenched in glitter,
    a firework
    cackling HAPPY
    as I sneeze
at the sight of too much
    glamor.

    3.) crime

    I took a knife
    and carved the very last
    banana,
    just so no one else
    could taste it's pale white
    flesh.
    Cannibalism? Violence?
who knows. Send me to prison,
    see if I care.

    4.)homeless

    Ripped jeans and
    carts stacked
    with unmentionables,
    this is how poverty lives
    concrete to concrete
    wandering a lonely path.

    5.) rhyme

    diddly dum, diddly doo
I took a train to kalamazoo
and there I saw a lady scream
    for more delicious ice cream

    6.) sad

    I'm unfortunate, that's sure
    a bouncing mess
    of insecurity
    waiting for Romeo,
    expecting poison.

    7.) furniture

    This old chair
    held my grandfathers
    soft and wilting body
    in the hours before
    he left this world
    forever.

    8.) PNQ

    I'd like to say
that writing this many poems was easy.
    But I think
    I'm dying,
    PNQ, you're killing me
    Please stop.

    1.) form inside free

    We'd take our drinks
    with extra vodka
    and no
    Interestingly
    Clear
    Exoskeletons,
    of ice

    2.) stationary
    I like staplers
    that clip together
    the letters
    of life, a clear
    and tangible
    contact.

    3.)crime/prison

    If I were in prison
    I'd make like crazy eyes
    peeing on the floor
    and smiling
    at the comfort
    of convenient
    toilets.

    4.) homeless/poverty

    We keep our coins
    locked in our pockets
    because nothing else feels
    quite as warm when homeless,
    as the comfortable jangling
    of possessed money

    5.) rhyme

    I could rhyme all day
    not good ones, but
    I'm here to stay.
    You might not like
    the way they sound,
    you might want me buried
    under the ground

    6.) sad

    My poetry makes me sad,
but winning would make me glad
    what a struggle that
    conundrum is.

    7.) furniture

    Lamps have lovely
    little wicks
    of light
    seeping from
    their covers
    onto the armchair,
    my feet,
    and my book.

    8.) PNQ

Oh, oh oh, we write all day
and ho ho ho we want to
    go away.

    1.) form inside free

    Forms inside of free
    are difficult for me,
I've no idea what form to use
    anymore, maybe

    If I was good at
    Making better acrostics, this
    Poem wouldn't sound

    so bad.

    2.) stationary

This pen is all you need,
to tell me how you feel.
Either write me a love note,
or draw bad things on my face.
    Either way,
    I'll know.

    3.) Crime

    What a crime, oh what
    a disastrous crime
    this poem is...
to even call it a poem!
    I should be in prison.

    4.) homelessness

    The homelessness
    of hermit crabs
    must a be a new
    feeling
    of exposed
    irregularity.

    5.) rhyme

    I like people
    who make steeples
    with their hands
and wiggle them to and fro,
    while they smile
    and their laugh grows.

    6.) sad

    It makes me sad,
    how I've already written
    so many rounds,
and I still have to double check
    what the rules are for
    entry number 6

    7.) furniture

    I've run out of furniture,
    honestly,
    what else is so furnite
as a couch or a chair?

    8.) PNQ

    Much like my mind
    this place has come alive
    with people madly posting
    who then, likewise
    have slowly died.

    1.) formed in free

    who is good at these?
    honestly, can someone
    teach me how
    to make
    better

    Piles
    Of
    Excrement
    Made of
    Silly words?

    2.) stationary

    At the station,
    she stood
    stationary
    and pulled out
    stationary
    to write a last
    goodbye.

    3.) crime

    I took the last peach,
    It was a crime,
    it just sitting there
    in the bowl, looking
    at me, all fresh.

    4.) poverty

    poverty sits
    in my future, a
    black crow
    watching
    as my college loans
    pile up around me.

    5.) rhyme

    I'd like to quit,
    but if I did
    I couldn't sit
    and think of all
    the poems I
    wouldn't be
    writing.

    6.) sad

    Suddenly, two
    tears come streaming down
    her face, an homage
    to how much she misses
    the ocean.

    7.) furniture

Take a table, set it up
    and sit there
    with HGTV,
    wishing you
    had another.

    8.) PNQ

    Who, oh who can write
    non stop, except for Britt?
    I can't
    I can't
    I can't, PNQ,
    I'm sorry.

    1.) form inside free

    Inching along the ground
    A solitary soldier
    Needing another
    Trinket of food
    to give her queen.

    2.) stationary

    I'd eat pens
    all day, my mouth
    coated black,
    a hint of ink
    dribbling from the corner
    of my lips.

    3.) crime

    I killed someone
    with a big old stick,
    I called it the club,
    and now PNQ
    is sending me to jail.

    4.) homelessness

    the homeless crow
    can't find a place
    to sit and rest
    his weary black
    wings.

    5.) rhyme

    I like bread
    so much, I think
    I'll put it on
    my head
    instead
    of eating it.

    6.) sad

    A sad smile
    glistens at her lips,
    watching Titanic,
    cause everyone needs
    a good cry.

    7.) furniture

    I like couches
    that let you sink heavy
    into the immediacy
    of their cushions,
    and where long lost items
    jab playfully
    at your back.

    8.) PNQ

We were wonders, all of us,
    a sea of poetic dreamers
    taking flight
and now, look how we fuss
    and fight
to write as many crap poems
    as possible.

    1.) form in free

    The train shakes,

    as it coasts along
    the tracks, an endless weaving
    of left right lilting

    all the way to boston.

    2.) stationary

    is a computer stationary?
    What happens to books
    when paper becomes
    obsolete? These
    are things I wonder
    about.

    3.) crime/prison

I put that fish in prison, see,
    a little old bowl,
    a plastic castle
    to remind him
    of the ruling
    human elite.

    4.) poverty

    I'd be poor, indeed,
    impoverished, if all
I had to do all day
    were normal people things.
    Not making my eyes burn,
    and fingers bleed
    madly typing out
    poetry.

    5.) rhyme

    A fish goes blub
    and somewhere in another place,
    a man named bub
    eats a cod sandwich.

    6.) sad

I could cry, if it'll make
    you pay attention to me.
I'm not sad for any reason
    but thinking you don't care.

    7.) furniture

    Footstools
    are the most
    under appreciated
    furniture
    I can think of.
    Seriously,
    why?

    8.) PNQ

    Ok, that's it,
    I'm off to work, but
    yeesh, PNQ
You ought to get out more.
    Really.

    1.) form inside free
    Under the stairs,
    the guarded stare
    of a
    Conniving little
    Adorable, fluff
    Tinderbox
    awaiting
    my affection.

    2.) stationary
    At this point, poetry
    is a chore,
    and I'd like
    to scratch my eyes out
    with pencils.

    3.)
    He went to prison
    for being too pretty
    now he's the king
    of the criminals.

    4
    We're all homeless, really
    no one really owns
    anything
    not even
    ourselves.

    5
The dog was on the grass
    It stopped
and sniffed at me, and so
    I raised my glass.

    6
    Sometimes I feel sad
    that I won't ever
    have the pleasure
    of stroking my own
    long,
    luxurious
    beard.

    7
    When you go for lunch,
    your sweaty bum
    peels loudly
    off the office chair.

    8
    Poems, poems,
    and a few people
    I really don't
    understand.
    But many I love.
    That's what PnQ is,
    I guess.

    1
    Writing poems has me
    feeling that
    This is a struggle
    A new ridiculous task,
    hello struggle bus.
    I say, waving.

    2
    Pencil and paper
    were meant for people
who care to craft their poetry
and sit and work their words
    like artists mixing paint.
    This is why I use
    a computer.

    3
    The crime of our generation:
    stealing the Starbucks wifi
    without buying a coffee.

    4
    Homeless people
    are not me,
    so I don't know how
    to write about it
    intelligently.

    5
    Trees
    and bees,
    these
    are things
    of nature.

    6
    The tragedy
    of the lonely dog
    desperately trying
to sniff the poo across the lawn
but his leash is too short.

    7
As I sit in the dappled shade
    two humping flies
    arrive to procreate
    next to me.
    How rude of them,
    get your own bench.

    8
    We were once
    pioneers of poetry,
    tapping out new verses
    and posting
    to an immediate
    Hoorah!
    Now we crouch like vultures
waiting for a little red number,
    hungry for attention.

    1
    Trees
    are growing
    from the side walk,
    it would seem.
    What happens when
    they grown to thick/
    Are they
    Chopped into bits,
    Ugly stumps left like awkward
    Tourists?

    2
    We struggle to find
    enough printer paper
    to print the cat pictures
    we want to hang
    around our room.

    3. Crime/prison

    He is a murderer
    and she doesn't know
    she won't realize it
    until her body is twitching
    in his hands

    4. homlessness

    On a Saturday night,
    everyone leaves home
    and dances
    except this girl
    with glasses

    5. Rhyme.

    nothing is inspiring enough
    around me
    and I can't write anymore
maybe I should just lie on the floor
    and write monologues

    6. Category: sad

    The waitress always brings
    you what you wish,
    ever thought about inviting
her to a cup of coffee?

    7. Furniture

    1. Formed poem included in a free verse.

    What are you talking about?
Holy crap! There's no time for
a formed piece now. We have only
    two hours left!

Oh did I just write an acrostic
    I think I did.

    2. statinery

    It's a damn crime
    to make so many
    god damn poems
    in one bloody day
    Guess it's just time
    for good Chinese food!

    4.
    Paupers they were called
    In the years before
    Instead of saying
    Poor people they were
    Paupers strangely I remember
Because I read a book long ago
    What? You don't read?
    A damn shame hun

    5. Must include at least one rhyme.

I felt like quite an ass
when I took a First Aid class
    and broke a needle's glass
You can bet I didn't pass

    6. Category : sad

    Is it sad
    how terribly sad I feel
    for all the other clubs?

    Probably not.

    7. include a piece of furniture

I lied before when I said
we moved out all the furniture
    a week too soon-
    we've still got a bed,
but I sort of wish we didn't.

    8. write a poem about this site!!

If one thing can be said about
    the members of TC:
Not one of us likes losing,
    and we won't, I guarantee!

  • silvershoes

    1. formed poem - but must be placed inside a free style poem. So write a normal poem, but add in a form somewhere throughout the poem.

    I'm a bit of a cheapskate,
    it's true.
    I like efficiency,
    but I like it quick.
    Nothing irritates me more
    than someone who dilly-dallies
    on a timed task.

    Then again, I seem
    to be the slowest poster
    in all of TC

So I guess I should get used to
    my medicine's taste.

    2. include an item of stationery, pencil, paper etc.

    Did anyone
    at any time
    really think
    a feather &
    a jar of ink
    -separated-
    could ever
    be the best
    use of both?

    3. Include a crime, or mention prison, or both!

    Darren's a sweetie
    and would never think
    to sneak around the rules,
but TC's never been one for
    walking the straight and narrow.
If cleverness is a crime... we're all guilty.
    Miss Rainbow failed to mention
one poem per post, and yes,
    we certainly triple checked.
If we win, we'll win with
    all tricks played.

    4. Mention homelessness, or poverty.

You know, my cat was homeless.
We tend not to think of animals like that,
but he was down on his luck,
    hobbling the streets
    and begging where he could
    for what he could.
Thank God for strangers who give a damn.

    My love
    Is like a dead dove
A mess and bloody oh well
    She's not in hell

    6.
    Urgh poetry is dead!
Art isn't because of the different
    forms to make
    Tagging nowadays is art
If you can believe that ridiculous shit

    7.
    I open the drawers
    to the office
    Where I seem to hide
    my diary
    In disguise it lays underneath
    paperwork
I haven't touched in lord knows when!

    it was loud and fun
the neighbors had sex too but
    they were not as loud

    2. statinery

    What is a paper?
    what is a pen?
    i have a notebook
    on my smartphone
    you see?

    3. Crime/prison

    I'd prefer to be
    in Guantanamo
    than write another

    4. homlessness

    are searching for a home
    through the dead twigs

    5. Rhyme

    Up in the sky
    there roams a fly
    I should squash it
    with something
    but I'm too lazy
    to do so

    6. Category: sad

    The saddest thing
    right now
    is that I'm typing

    broke your hearts a little

    1.
God I need to get laid
    But thing is I'm super
    picky
    He gotta have a job
    He gotta be smart
    And he gotta be hot

But that's all a dear dream
    Especially since mama taught
Stupid selfish pricks are gonna us
Traps to get in my pants

    2.
    I have an app
    on my phone also
I don't need to pen in ink
But I seem to like the classics
As I sit in a desk and reread my
    healthy poetry

    3.
Trust me once I get free
    of this prison
    Called poetry I'll break out
    into a happy dance
But till then I wonder where the
    bathroom is

    4.
My puppy when we got her
    had a day being
homeless till my mom saw her
I still remember how pretty she was
I was blessed as she is a pure-blood dog

    5.
    I'm dry
No more poetry so I guess it good bye
    You'll see me cry!
    I'm just so dry

    6.
    Puppy why so sad?
    It's time?
    For what?
O it's time for you to say
    goodbye to this world

    7.
My phone always seems to lay
right besides me as I sleep
    in my bed
Oh yeah I can't wait to fall asleep

    1. formed poem - but must be placed inside a free style poem. So write a normal poem, but add in a form somewhere throughout the poem.

    Pardon

    I'm going to throw
    some words into a haiku
    and hope you think it's

    Poetry

    2. include an item of stationery, pencil, paper etc.

    Imagine this competition
    with pen and paper
and be grateful for your keyboards

    3. Include a crime, or mention prison, or both!

Would it really be a crime
    if somehow all FOP's accounts
    were suspended in the homestretch?
    :3

    4. Mention homelessness, or poverty.

    If good poetry
    could fight poverty, the poor
    would hate us today.

    5. Must include at least one rhyme.

Strings of words ending in rhyme
are called poetry most all of the time,
but the majority are no better than grime
like the talents of a talking mime.

    6. Category : sad

    Sadness comes in shades.
    Does she ever arise pure?
Doubt and guilt are close cousins,
and hope hides under their skirts.

    7. include a piece of furniture

He rests languidly on the chaise,
    eyes squinted in relaxation,
    tail switching like a clock.

    8. write a poem about this site!!

    PnQ knows me without mannerisms
    and tonalities-
    My existence rides on words
and I wonder if our hearts touch closer
    than our eyes would.

My son didn't do the dishes tonight
    Oh what a horrible crime
    Out with the mower tomorrow
    There's lawns to be done
    Oh for him what fun

    4 homelessness or poverty

    I shall never forget
    India
    The poverty
    But oh what beauty
    Beneath its skin

    5 one rhyme

    Quick almost out of time
A couple more hours to go
For the contest one more rhyme

    6 Sad

My cat was left out last night
    Good
    In the cold and rain
    So sad so sad
This morning my daughter so mad

    7 piece of furniture

This chair is bony on my bum
Off to the couch i must run
    Bliss on a pillow
    Oh so much fun

    Inside a free style

    Post one post all
    Others are doing the same
    Several clubs up our bum
Time to show who is boss

    Because winners are grinners
    That's us, poetry sinners

    2 include stationery

    Since this started
    I've gone through 3 pencils
    Worn down to the bone
    Just like my brain

    3 include crime or prison

Commit the crime do the time
How many times have we heard that
From the old Bailey with the funny hat

    4 homelessness or poverty

    Money may come
    Money may go
    But poverty stays with you
    Forever

    5 one rhyme

Off down to our favourite Cove
The kids in the back as we drove
    Just up over that Hill
In time to cook tea on that old Stove

    6 Sad

I remember the day we buried Axel
A sad day for all the family
Now his little plaque is on the fence
The impact on my kids immense

    7 piece of furniture

    One speaker in each corner
They can beat out a song pretty loud
Enough to attract a pretty large crowd
I'll play it next week i avowed

    8 write about P&Q

There was a site named P&Q
Some poems made us feel kind of blue
    A haiku smelling the dew
Now its left to but a few

     Inside a free style

Nice to be with you all
    Incredibly kind i must say
    Come one come all
    End this little fling

    This poetry thing nearly done
    But Oh what fun

    2 include stationery

The pen is mightier than the sword
    What fool said that
    What a lot of crap
Only good if that's all you can afford

    3 include crime or prison

Off with his head they cried
    He stood in stark disbelief
What is my crime he yelled
The fish in the dish was over fried

    4 homelessness or poverty

    Melbourne
Most liveable city in the world
Where even the poor must pay
    Poverty at many a door
Many forced to break the law

    5 one rhyme

Another poem i turn the page
    8 more hours to run
    I'm beginning to burn
    Inside i fell the rage

    6 Sad

    It's a sad sad situation
And its getting more and more absurd
    It's a warm warm feeling
Standing on the road side curb

    7 piece of furniture

My daughter sits on the couch
    Playing on her phone
Not a peep not a noise
I well as well be home alone

    8 write about P&Q

    8 years on this site
    Never a regret
    To all my friends
    To all my foes
    A great big Hello

    1. formed poem - but must be placed inside a free style poem. So write a normal poem, but add in a form somewhere throughout the poem.

    My boyfriend's footsteps grow louder
    beneath his weight
    as my typing grows quieter.

    It does not affect
the calm between us, but the
    neighbors must hate us.

We'll be out of here soon anyway.

    2. include an item of stationery, pencil, paper etc.

    It's no secret,
    I'm a klutz.
To be sure, if quill and ink
    were still preferred,
    I'd have blotches seeping through
    the parchment.

    3. Include a crime, or mention prison, or both!

I'm quite sure this contest is a crime
and I'm quite sure I'm this close to
    suspending everyone on the site.
Abed's right. We need new moderators.

    4. Mention homelessness, or poverty.

    Poor me,
that's all I have to say!
    Poor me,
    poor fingers,
    poor back,
    poor head,
poor aching butt sitting on the carpet,
    scrambling to write poetry.

    5. Must include at least one rhyme.

    We're almost out of time,
and my mind has turned to slime,
but I must churn out another rhyme!

    6. Category : sad

I'll be sad if we lose
    Sad, mad, bad,
    but mostly I'll be glad
for the fun we've all had :)

    7. include a piece of furniture

    No furniture here,
and I wish you'd quit bringing it up!
    Thanks a lot, Baby Rainbow-
    thanks for reminding me
    I should be helping pack.

    8. write a poem about this site!!

This site will be the death of me-
that the contest will end NOW is my final plea,
and I hope to God almighty...
some good came of this final spree...
Though something just occurred to me!

Chunking poems like this will make it easy
for everyone to cheat once the contest is closed ;\

    1. formed poem - but must be placed inside a free style poem. So write a normal poem, but add in a form somewhere throughout the poem.

I feared Baby Rainbow would not be
    right on time
    and it's not her fault,
but our heads are going to explode!

    Please end the contest
and let our poor heads get rest
    TC is the best

    2. include an item of stationery, pencil, paper etc.

    Keyboards aren't stationary,
    but everything else is irrelevant
unless you're copying down a phone number.

    3. Include a crime, or mention prison, or both!

    This site is my prison
    This contest is a jailor
Does that make BR the warden
    or the judge?

    4. Mention homelessness, or poverty.

    I'm beneath the poverty line,
    but my parents are not,
so as long as I keep sucking up,
    I think I'll be alright.

    5. Must include at least one rhyme.

    Chime
    Rhyme
    Lime
    Dime
    We're almost out of time!

    6. Category : sad

    Too anxious to be sad,
but sadness is my usual state,
and anxiety is the only escape.

    7. include a piece of furniture

    Still no furniture here.
    Still no inspiration.
Too tired to write what I can't see.
Close the contest, set us free.

    8. write a poem about this site!!

    I love PnQ, it's true,
and there's not a thing anyone can do!
I love you, and you, and you :)

    He's got bags for days,
    under his eyes.
Must be planning a trip to bed.
    I think, rubbing
    my own eyes
    in anticipation

    2
    I want to write
    poetry with straws
    written in the brimming foam
    of a fresh made latte

    3
    She stole the necklace
    right off her mother's
    corpse.

    4
    I always check my phone
when I'm walking by a homeless person
    ...It's awful,
    I just can't stand
    the guilt of not giving.

    5
    Rhymes are fun
    so are puns
    but, guns,
    guns are not fun.

    6
I wanted to see my cat
    but he lives far away
and I have work in the morning.

    7
This bench is full of people
    waiting for a train
to whisk them off to couches,
    tables, and chairs.

    8
    PnQ
I don't know what to say about you.
    Just that you're pretty cool.
