    1. Formed with free

I hope that I never have
to write a haiku again. This formula
    of forms has run dry.

    One last time, or if
I get to post another round,
    one more haiku left.

    2. Stationary

The globe of the earth sat
    atop the school library, promising
the world on its axis, charting culture
with lines of latitude, longditude and
    its equator circumfrence.

    3. Crime

    Spiderman perches,
    webbed vigilantie busy
    policing city crime.

    4. Poverty

The poverty of her womb was the
catalyst for nature's way to reward
an unwanted pregnancy with a loving
    mother.

    5.Rhyme

    Help, somebody call 911,
    even though its almost done,
a crazier forum you will not find,
everybody here has lost their mind!

    6. Sad

I only hope that the silence on
your tongue is not the checkered
flag of the dream I had dared to dream.

    7. Furniture

The sofa lay as inviting as
a bed to two lovers, with little
    blood left in their head.

    8. This site

    The perks, inaccuracies, every bit
make me hate it and love it
    at the same, confessional
    time.

    1. Formed poem - but must be placed inside a free style poem. So write a normal poem, but add in a form somewhere throughout the poem.

    My phone is on silent
I need to try and think
I am fed up with writing
    pieces that stink

    competitive edge
    alludes to writing nonsense
    to win no trophy

    2. Include an item of stationery, pencil, paper etc.

    a pen is for poets
    fabulous scribbles on parchment
    I have a pencil
    and an old envelope

    3. Include a crime, or mention prison, or both!

    Is a crime of passion
    still in fashion
    I never hear anymore
    of screwing someone to death
    on the floor

    4. Mention homelessness, or poverty.

Every time I leave the house
    I am homeless
    it is a miracle
    the locks aren't changed

    5. Must include at least one rhyme.

    It is time
    to write about cats
    to rhyme with rats
    this is how low
    I have sunk

    6. Category : sad

    I weep whilst the rocket
    fires your way
    knowing retaliation
    is coming back
    a peace envoy
    doesn't win any prizes
    with me

    7. Include a piece of furniture

    Hello again my chair
    I am going to stare
    at the wooden frame
    and those curved legs
    and wonder what
    those stains are?

    8. Write a poem about this site!!

    we are all scatty
    at least a bit batty
    so much drivel
    written in a hurry
    but I musn't worry
I am not the only one

    1. Formed poem - but must be placed inside a free style poem. So write a normal poem, but add in a form somewhere throughout the poem.

    In this ode
    I will hide
    an acrostic

    Why you ask
    Hell its prompt one again
    You cant see me

    something John Cena would say

    2. Include an item of stationery, pencil, paper etc.

    A pen is not mightier
    than your shiny sword
because you can lop off my head
    with your blade
    the best I could muster
is to poke you in the eye

    3. Include a crime, or mention prison, or both!

    There is a prison
    called a contest
    where for four hours
I have been failing this test
to write poetry that is the best

    4. Mention homelessness, or poverty.

    To have nought
    is not too bad
    if you have love
    so just be glad
    you have children

    5. Must include at least one rhyme.

    just one rhyme you say?
did you know by the way
that your prompts have made me sway
to chuck in rhyme, most of the day

    6. Category : sad

    Sometimes it hits us
    A scene of great sadness
    Destroys remaining joy

    7. Include a piece of furniture

    Its my bloody chair
    I haven't seen you in a while
    you think I don't care
but now I have parked my arse
    again on your pad
    you can stop the relentless
    creaking, proving you are sad.

    8. Write a poem about this site!!

    When is the last time
that members on line needed two pages
I am on here every day
and haven't seen it for ages

    1. Formed poem - but must be placed inside a free style poem. So write a normal poem, but add in a form somewhere throughout the poem.

    Another minute
    crept like a caterpillar,
    quiet, and sneaky

    making me wonder
when the clock will strike eleven
    and bloom like a butterfly:
    the announcement of an end.

    2. Include an item of stationery, pencil, paper etc.

    I thought to be romantic
    and folded paper planes
    to fly to your window,
but it got stuck in your
    underwear, that hung outside,
    patriotic, proud of its home.

    3. Include a crime, or mention prison, or both!

    This country hasn't known guillotines
for at least a handful of years - or so I hope,
(history has never been up my alley),

these days I want to learn again
from past mistakes, and find my fingers
chopped, one by one, by axes
    as sharp as a guillotine,
scolding me for being an ignorant
    first-world child.

    4. Mention homelessness, or poverty.

    Barefooted, he ran
    through the market -

    teenagers point,
    adults think him crazy,

    but what would they do
    if their daughter was grabbed

    to be sold,
    unable to pay the rent?

    5. Must include at least one rhyme.

I vent as much as I can
but the words elude me as I fan
    more stardust ino my imagination.

    6. Category : sad

    Sometime, somewhere,
    a heart is burnt.

    You can place incense
    atop a mountain,

    but don't apologize,
    ever.

    7. Include a piece of furniture

I peek from behind my curtains
    and see the neighbour, sleeping
in his chair. This is the time for me
to turn on the radio, and dance.

    8. Write a poem about this site!!

The previous poem is a lie.

    I don't dance.

    But this site, this site
is a brewing ground of lies,
or do we just brand it fiction?

    1.

    I'll return to the palm
    of my land, someday,
    And you'll be home.

Wait for me, with birds flying south
And history rising like trees from their soils
I have left my roots, like a song, on your balcony
Their pains, their poems, their wars.

Wait, we still have before us endless,
    endless roads.

    --

    2.

    She was cream coloured
    stationery, tucked in
    the safety of his pocket,
    moments before
    being fed to the fire.

    ---

    3.

You held a gun to every
    poem I've ever written,
and still I'm left with nothing
    but words as my prison.

    -----

    4.

    You're on the 5 o'clock news
with concrete for a home, bed
and pillow, yet still you talk
    about your homeland and not
    your home.

    ----

    5.

    Remember me, when words dawn
    across your tired, tired forehead
When poetry is lost from your voice
and every book is well, well read
and on your desk unfinished poems,
on your conscious words left unsaid
and the song of an empty bed,
    an empty bed.

    ----

    6.

    She died, every night,
    for seven years under
    his body and never said
    a single prayer.

    ----

    7.

    Your oak tree desk
    is one artistic piece
    of corpse.

    ----

    8.

    We are quite a bunch
    of imaginary named
    people of who and what
    we'd like to be most.

    1. Formed with free

    The raindrops are constant
but get drowned out by the intermittant
    thunder from above.

    Storm clouds rumble
    and electrify themselves
    in a terrible showing
    of strength.

But in the end, the wind dies down
and all is right with the skies again.

    2. Stationary

I wrote my first poem in the dim
light of a nokia colour phone, as I
waited for a text message recprication
that never came. I turned the light
to a battered pencil and scribbled
history on a disused envelop corner.

    3. Crime.

    The only time
    I do crime
is when I won't get caught,
    cos cleaning grime
    and prison slime
is not what I had sought.

    4. Poverty

The polish couldn't save the brown
    shoes from showing their bruises,
and suit was patched at the elbows.
All the interview panel needed to know
was said before he opened his mouth
    to speak.

    5. Rhyme

    The abab scheme
is sure to haunt my dreams.
Along with all the other worthless
pieces of junk I prostitute myself
    to write.

    6. Sad

I will whoop with delight when
eleven comes, put my feet up
and have some tea: But in the morning
I will miss the next set of prompts
    that never were.

    7. Furniture

My cat, in her younger days, jumped
onto the dinner table once, but scampered
when the roar I roared sent her
    reeling as if sore.

    8. This site

    Countdown begins, back
    to weekly contest threads and
    happy birthdays in 10, 9, 8...

    1. Formed poem - but must be placed inside a free style poem. So write a normal poem, but add in a form somewhere throughout the poem.

    Please, shut me up,
lick my lips like an envelope,
    end my sorrow with bubblegum
    and toothpaste - I don't mind,
    sorrow has touched my body
    enough times tonight,

    be gentle, and wild,
    like a dormant lion ...

    we're alone tonight.

    2. Include an item of stationery, pencil, paper etc.

    Tears blur the envelope
and I'm already starting to forget
    which country it originated from,
    as my memory's kidnapped
    by alcohol, but tomorrow morning
    I'll solve the puzzle again.

    3. Include a crime, or mention prison, or both!

He cut off contact, as if
I was a war criminal, whilst all I did
was protect myself - readied the canons
    to attack his Trojan Horse,
    dusted of the dungeons
    to lock up his heart.

    4. Mention homelessness, or poverty.

Every object in my room ...
    from the porcelain seashell
to the dirty socks beneath my bed
    once had a home.

Sold, as if not worthy of a pricetag,
as if, but refugees ... now
    they are but passengers
    in someone else's home.

    5. Must include at least one rhyme.

    One, two, three, four,
please let me pour some more
of this gibberish - whilst I'm sweating
    from the laptop heat, counting
    till the clock screams defeat.

    6. Category : sad

    The saddest thing of all,
is seeing a once familiar face
go down, on your message list,
    and drown further, because
you were to proud to say

    hello

    7. Include a piece of furniture

    If my furniture
    was made of bamboo -
that table in the corner, for example -
I'd probably act like a pandabear all day
and nibble, wondering if this is how it feels
to be close to my roots.

    8. Write a poem about this site!!

    August 8th - 2014,
a tragic day in the wastelands
of PnQ ... words have suffered,
    falcons peck at remains
    of metaphors, and the poets
    are sleeping on fruitless grounds.

    1. Formed poem - but must be placed inside a free style poem. So write a normal poem, but add in a form somewhere throughout the poem.

    This is the last time
I hide a form in free verse
it is one or the other
I cant think of anything worse

    children like to rhyme
as we age we love to vent
    poetry suffers

    2. Include an item of stationery, pencil, paper etc.

    Pen writes emotions
    yet has difficulty with tone
    punctuation shows the way
    and expresses my mood

    3. Include a crime, or mention prison, or both!

    Jail is a hotel
    for prisoners who
    have no cares
    unless they face parole

    4. Mention homelessness, or poverty.

    To be skint
    or out of home
is the lowest of the low
unless you lose a loved one
that you would trade your house for

    5. Must include at least one rhyme.

    how can I rhyme
    at this bloody time
    I have written more
    crap in a day
    than ever before

    6. Category : sad

    The sky is crying
    my daughter said
    with sadness in her eyes
    no it is raining
    I pointed out
    as I kissed her goodbye

    7. Include a piece of furniture

    My chair is in hiding
    fed up of the constant
    streams of pretend poems
    describing its past
    and its present

    8. Write a poem about this site!!

    It is almost time
    to shut the door
    this speed poetry over
    I cant do anymore!!

    1. Formed poem - but must be placed inside a free style poem. So write a normal poem, but add in a form somewhere throughout the poem.

    almost done, so
    you, yea you, please,
    eat some yoghurt

and sleep, for I make no sense now
(who would eat yoghurt in the middle of the night?)
wondering if I can still write a whole round
in 3 minutes, before TC strikes again

    2. Include an item of stationery, pencil, paper etc.

    One pencil in my bed,
two pieces of paper on my cushion
and you - nowhere to be found.

    3. Include a crime, or mention prison, or both!

He's a bandit who stole more
    than gold, more than hearts,
    and less than thought.

    He was just another one
    bypassing in my life,
    hoping for a miracle.

    4. Mention homelessness, or poverty.

    Let me be
    homeless for once,
    feel pity for the pigeons
    and peck at bread
    as if it were gold.

    5. Must include at least one rhyme.

Let me rhyme time with rhyme again
because that's the only word inside of my mind
as only two minutes are left
and I don't want to be dead yet.

    6. Category : sad

    Sorrow is an anchor,
    permanently dragging from your heart
and pulling you further into sea
    until veins are torn apart.

    7. Include a piece of furniture

This chair is a little bit too small
for my ass and my fingers
    a little bit too slow
    for a poem

    8. Write a poem about this site!!

    PnQ, farewell, my dear,

    tomorrow

    Formed with free

    I cannot format

poems here the way I would
    like and
    so am

    free to ex-
    per-
    i-ment
    in whatever way I want.

    I think I've earned it.
I think we all left some part
    of ourselves in here.

    2. Stationary

    The card you made me
with glitter and jewels is worn from
the amount of times I have kissed it
    goodnight.

    3. Crime

The worst crime is sitting by and
    watching thousands die. I wish
there was something I could do.
I wish my teaching hands could cover
    the world.

    4. Poverty

The smell alerted me to the presence
of the homeless man, sleeping in
    his own filth, long before
    I spotted him.

    5. Rhyme

    Its here, the time that
I break out bat and cat
    because every rhyme counts,
    if even an ounce.

    6. Sad

I wish you were here to blow out
the candle I lit for you in the hollow
    cavern of my heart.

    7. Furniture

The chair will thank me when I
free myself from its grasp, and allow it
to work on ridding itself of the groove made
    by 2 years of pizza.

    8. The site

PnQ I love you so, don't ever change
and, drunk as this may sound, I
    wish The Club happiness too!
