Praised Comments Glitch

Hey all, I have already addressed this issue within my club but figured I would mention it here in case no one else has noticed it. I'm sure someone else has noticed it and opened a thread sometime but as far as I can recall from my time here, I don't remember one. Sorry if it's just a repeat of the same ole' issues, I know there is nothing to be done due to Janis not being around but figured I would post a reminder to be wary of praising comments on other poet's poems.

It seems there is a glitch in the site that if someone praises a comment on a poem that is not theirs, the poet that wrote the poem will not receive a new comment notification. Therefore, comments go unnoticed by the poet they were intended for.

This was brought to my attention a couple days ago and I went through my poems and found a few comments I had indeed missed due to this glitch. So now I am going to make it a habit to check my comments regularly even if I don't receive a notification.

To me, it is perfectly fine to praise comments on someone else's poem, however I think if you do so, to allow a grace period of 2-3 days to go by so that the poet can have the chance to read and praise the comment themselves. If by chance the comment is still not praised and you think it is worthy, I think it is fine to go ahead and praise it yourself.

Awesome that you brought this up, I did notice it before but didn't know it was a glitch. But I will remember that next time. Thanks!
