Hard to believe that, if he was still with us, he would have turned 68 today, 5th September...

Sylvia....it would appear that you and I are the only ones on here who appreciate good music or...maybe we're the only one's willing to admit to our age although, this type of music I always thought to be timeless...enjoyed by all generations...perhaps I'm wrong :)

I love queen. Freddy was one of the best singers. Just listen to "The miracle" or "Seven seas of rhye" Those are great songs

I love Freddie Mercury. I always feel "I am going slightly mad" too though I know "the show must go on"
I also have other reason to love him: he was Persian and Zoroastrian too. And his real name was Fradoon Mercury.

Hellon, I am OLD and I like the music from the OLDEN days. I don't have much taste for the more popular music of today and I use the term music lightly but each to their own. I really wish that the "performers" of today would take the time to study and learn from the people that came before, maybe then their "music" would take on some appeal for me.

Actually...he was born Farrokh Bulsara as far as I am aware but...I read somewhere that his passport had the name Frederick Mercury on it???
