How do you come up with the name of YOUR poems?

i do that too. sometimes, i just read the poem over and something will pop up. or i make the whole poem out of the title. look for the most dramatic line or stanza in your poem and use words from that as your title. good luck!

Sometimes titles for my poems just seem to fit and other times I have to make more of a concious effort to find the right words.

One method for creating titles, that I have found on this site, is to take two random words from the poem which contrast each other. Another way would be to take a couple of powerful words i.e. one of my poems is called 'Lasting Mark'.

However you decide to name a poem keep in mind that a title is just as important as the poem itself. Without a catchy title the poem loses some of its appeal.
