OK...I guess we all have to do it from time to time...answer some questions in order to get the 'right policy' for us but...seriously...I feel I've been asked the dumbest question to date..

    Do I have a dog....yes...

Does it weigh more than 15 kg...no...well not at the moment..why does the weight of my dog matter?

Well...if it's a big dog and someone gets injured by it then...well it's best we know if it weighs over 15 kgs...

Well...it's only a small dog and...right now it weighs less than 15 kgms...there's 's no chance of it getting any bigger but...there is a chance that it might gain weight over the years...if it's weight exceeds 15 kgms...do you need to know??? The guy actually laughed at such a ridiculous question but...hey it was on his list...how bizarre!!!

Does anyone else have an unusual insurance story to tell??

I worked in insurance for 4 years.... I had all kinds of crazy stories, but the one that makes me laugh every time is...

There was a guy who had 5 1960's Ford Mustangs. Now we only kept the year/date/VIN on the cars.. not the color or license plate. He had two '69 Mustangs.. the rest were different years.

The man couldn't remember the years or VINs, and would always call by color. He'd say "You know, the blue one".."the orange one", and would SCREAM/YELL/FIGHT with me because I kept trying to explain that I didn't know what one he was talking about. I kept asking him to get the last 5 of the VIN and write me out a list so we could have a cheat sheet for colors (not required, I was trying to have excellent customer service lol) and he wouldn't. One day, he came into the office, I showed him our computer system and he's like oh crap. He finally got it.

I guess it's way funnier when you're there, lol. What a headache.
