Scotland's Referendum???

I've been watching the results of this off and on all of today and, it would appear that, once again, it will be a no vote? Just wondered what people who actually live there (all borders) are thinking about the results? Who would have liked Scotland to be separated...how many of you are glad that, it doesn't seem to be happening? Members from other parts of the world are, of course, welcome to give their opinions...

I'm the type of person who wants to abolish all borders to begin with, and create unity by dismantling the very idea of a Nation to begin with, because I believe the "Nation" concept is one of the most destructive constructs humanity has ever created.

That said, I'm not naive. The matter of facts are that Scotland's people are currently being governed by people they didn't vote for (as far as I can tell). And considering the fact that Scotland is a MUCH more progressive country than England is, it's absolutely insane that the conservatives in England should have any say on legislation in Scotland. Therefore, I support their right to independence.

It might seem like cognitive dissonance here, and self-contradictions. But it's really not. The United Kingdoms is a miserable and quite frankly arcane monster of imperialism, and like I support the Irish's rights to freedom - I also have to support the Scots' right to freedom from their imperial masters.

Just like I support the Palestinians, 365 days of the year, in their fight for freedom from Israeli oppression. (Yes, that's a digression, but quite frankly, that debate in and of itself should NEVER be allowed to die down)

Edit: I'm so tempted to find a link to some excerpts from Braveheart right now.

To be honest I don't keep up with politics, however I must say as a friend of mine is Scottish and she's a lovely person, and from watching documentaries and learning about the British in history,I think the Scottish should have had their freedom, the English (redcoats) have put their noses into everyone else's pies for far too long and it's time they should be true to their natures and lift their noses up and out of Scotland's pie!!!

Though I must state that I do not have any personal hard feelings towards the English,I rather adore their culture et Al, it is simply their nosey parking behaviour that I find abhorrent, if it weren't for the English and their nosey behaviour, there wouldn't have been as many wars in the world throughout history (most of which were over land and obtaining freedom from British rule, eg, my homeland Rhodesia/Zimbabwe, South Africa, America,North Africa, west Africa, central Africa (Congo etc).
