Hello there, PnQ. Looks like no one has posted the results yet -- I'm afraid you'll find them slightly underwhelming since only 2 judges voted and commented this week. Still, the wins and honorable mentions were well deserved. Thanks a million to our two dedicated judges, and I apologize for the failure on our (the mods) part this week.

    "A landscape of dreams
    stirs my imagination
in the stillness of a lonely night.

^^I simply like this opening. A landscape of dreams just brings on such an interesting image to my mind and that too on a lonely night. It really sets the scene as well as the writer's mood preparing the reader for what is to come. As the poem unfolds it feels like one is afloat in the dark sea while memories of loved ones haunt the writer's world. The thought of surviving without them creates a heaviness one can't let go. I also like the repetition of "take me away, take me afar, take me to the place where my loved ones are" There is a beautiful sadness to this and is also haunting. What kept coming to my mind was the image of a siren who calls all to their demise. A vivid, beautiful, sad and haunting read!" (7)

"Saffie makes me cry with her raw, sad pieces- This week she did just that and more with her very pretty, song like crafting of this poem.. I sang it while reading.
Longing to fly away, the depths of sadness can be felt in each line...
This is something different from Saffie, it really reads like a flowing song... very unique and drenched in emotions.. Powerful piece this week!" (4)

I am Every Mistake the Devil Ever Made
    by Kakera
    10 pts

"When reading a deep, dark poem- The reader has to consider the depth of emotion involved with a poem and then when that concept is grasped, try to figure out how the writer managed to pour all that out and make it creative and flow enough to read... Kakera mastered the art of dark poetry this week... I was blown away. Darkness is beauty. When you take the soul wrenching evil that plagues you and post it to the world for others to read you are opening yourself up in such a naked way that its really difficult to master the technical aspect of writing.. I am just in awe of how Kakera managed this, and so flawlessly I might add. Truly a highlight this week!" (10)

    Oak love
    by Masked metaphor

"A beautifully written Tanaka about nature. All senses has been included in this poem. The writer takes the reader through each sensation one by one. It starts with the sight of blossoming petals which stands out, followed by the scent of rain. As the poem slowly unfolds the writer describes the touch of purity and how it cleanses the soul; rejuvenating it. The very sound of its soothing patters creates a whole new view on life. I also like how certain lines have been repeated in each stanza making the flow of the read very pleasurable. Finally, using those four lines to end the poem. All in all a soothing read coupled with memorable imagery. Very nice!" (10)

    HONORABLE MENTIONS:

I Am What You Will Not Admit
    by Arrabella of the Night
    7 pts

"Welcome to PnQ Arrabella! Another dark poem I chose to highlight this week.... Her word usage is so delightful in this poem that it makes the reader want to read it over and over again. Taking emotions and placing it into a good read is difficult and this talented lady did just that... Love the ending!! She has unique and colorful, along with tasteful metaphors in this poem ... really enjoyed this poem!!" (7)

    Internal Warfare
    by Meme
    4 pts

"A simple poem with simple words yet it carries a heavy weight of life and death. We all at some point or the other, undergo this war, a fight within weighing the consequences and doubts. What makes it even more scary is to face yourself in the mirror while this raging war is on. For a lot reflects from the inside leaving no mercy, no second thoughts but only proving the final result. Within this war just like any other war, there are doubts, there are what ifs and most of all there is fear. The coldest fear of the end. After all this inner debate the ending simply cuts straight to the heart. Ends are always a shocker!" (4)
