    Get it here first, folks!
Five judges and three clear winners this week!

MaryAnne shares a revelation that her comforter fulfills the role of guardian angel as she thrashes in the depression of life while Meena looks to nature to share her loss to death which has never dulled its sharp pang. In contrast, perhaps, Hannah provides us with a lesson learned of the mute language love sometimes speaks, volumes if you are attuned, especially when the loved one is in need.

Comforter By Poet on the Piano 10 Points
Honestly I fell in love with your writing all over again when I read this piece. The descriptions are simple and yet still so delicately, perfectly placed and worded. Your style is quite unlike that of most writers here on Poems and quotes, which is amazing, because your writes stand out so vividly even when they are toned down for the feel or emphasis you are meaning to place upon them. The way you went about making your point here is phenomenal, so many people have written about people passing through their lives and leaving muddy footprints on their hearts or becoming so important that they are a guardian angel or something of that sort, but the writes never seem so unique as this one. Your final complete stanza really speaks to the reader, showing the importance of this person without making it overly obvious how you feel and taking away the illusion and beauty of your words - it's excellent. Phenomenally penned.

Comforter - Poet on the Piano 4 points
A very descriptive poem filled with metaphors and vivid imagery, yet also focuses on life and how comfort is there, when we decide to accept it and not run from it. The poem really shows the strength of faith, of holding on and not giving up, and the tone of the poem is a mixture of reflective, and positive thinking that in the end, things will be okay. This poem is a great uplifting read for anyone who is facing a dark time, and feels that no one, or nothing, is there for them.

Fresh as a Wound - Meena Krish 10 points
I was deeply moved by this poem which is riddled with grief from the loss of a loved one. The author describes the pain that is present with every passing minute, whilst showing how slowly that time passes. The focus seems to be the shock, and realization that this person has been gone for a whole year, however the raw pain and memories feel like they are still fresh, like the title suggests. This is the true colour of grief and loss. A very moving poem that really grabs your heart strings.

Fresh as a Wound by Meena Krish 4 points
The tragic emotions that run through the writers mind when writing about the loss of a loved one makes the best poetry in my opinion.
Meena has taken her sorrow and encased it into a gem of a poem.
The simplicity is so darn elegantly worded that I had to highlight this piece.
The ending is very creative- It is so true, Nature is the bond and unity of sorrow and death or loss and mourning is a song intertwined. Lovely write!

Although first person this poem was so sweet that it could've melt an icicle. That being said the imagery and the pathos is what made this poem very endearing to me and beautiful though simple

Language of Love - Hannah Lizette 7 points
This poem really took me into one moment in time and really made that moment into a big scene. This is a great talent to have while writing poetry, to be able to show that very small moment, and make it big and vivid for a stranger to understand. It shows an early morning rise of a couple who have not slept because the man's anxiety has filled the room, and his partner is aware there is trouble brewing inside his mind. What I really like about the wording of this poem is that the narration comes from only the female, and yet she makes the poem about her partner and how she understands his silence. We learn about him, through her words and observations. It is a beautiful poem capturing the meaning of love, and how being there is sometimes needed more, than having to do something or say something. A simply precious write.

Willow (Acrostic Poem) by Curiosity Was Framed 10 points
CWF: You amazed me this week with your crafty Acrostic poem this week!
Titling the poem has Willow and message down the side is so symbolic of the message and cryptic as well!
Weeping Willows droop, dangle, and wither in the winds of time and as do feelings of being alone.
The yearning to be alive, touched and or to be loved .... Oh there is so much in this tiny little, crafty poem!!
The last line- Is so unique, powerful and just Brilliant! It will never happen.... As will the Willow tree never stop drooping. The realization the author has keyed into the ending is just mind boggling but so true. This piece also wants the reader to reach out and hug the author. You can't help but feel compassion for the author and for this poem. It's just dazzling with somber emotion.

Earth is Sanity ( or at least it should be ) - Story by Everlasting 10 points
Was very realistic and that's what caught my attention I normally do not enjoy long poems but this one had a beautiful vivid imagery, emotions, and Ethos. The poem being in third point of view really was a nice touch, made it really special to my eyes really beautiful!

At Peace in a Poem by Maple Tree 10 points
There seemed to be some sort of practiced apathy or something along those lines that emanate from this poem. It's the perfect blend of venting, poetry and sadness. I love the narrative voice that's found within the poem - Andrea walks you through her innermost feelings and thoughts. It's powerful as it lets you empathize with her, there were numerous verses from this poem alone that are just quotable and are just mesmerizing. For instance, "Forced to take medication/to regulate my smile?" spoke volumes to me and I think for others as well since they can relate to this as people become more dependent on medication to regulate their thoughts and moods. Just an amazing piece overall!

Another Forbidden Fruit Story by Acoustic Odyssey 7 points
This poem is truly a refreshing piece and twist about the "Forbidden Fruit"- Adore this powerful small poem.
Acoustic Odyssey has written a powerful message here. It's truly wonderful how he has written about the forbidden desire of another or just the lustful and longing desire of a smile... This is the take I went with on this poem. He speaks of desires that not many are willing to display in words and it's very tastefully done.
The ending lines are just WONDERFUL! A smile, a look, and glance or even just the persons existence can lead a soul astray.
    Love this!!

On the Carousel of Silence by Ddavidd 7 points
The creativity and imagination in this piece blew me away. One of the comments already written about this piece points out how it really does feel like a carousel in the way it loops back to itself, a lot of poems have the feel but it never leaves the same effect because it's not usually about something in a circle like a carousel or a full cycle of something. So that really does leave an impact, a wonderful impact - great job. Your voice shines beautifully in this piece simply in the way you begin the piece in a personal way, share your imagination, and then share your voice again with us in the end. Even the repetition in the third line had a unique tone to it instead of just finding its own way of distracting the readers. Phenomenal write.

    Pieces by Tarnish 7 points
The diction employed by this author, and as well as the content of the poem had me intrigued. I felt like it was the perfect infusion of intelligence and poetry - though it seemed a bit more philosophical than poetic. I love how the author compared the world to being a grid, and himself being a grid of organs (it's a full circle that indicates that he constitutes a part of the world, it was something I just enjoyed). I liked this part from the poem: "words are ensnared/in synaptic/algorithms". It made me think - the human body has a vast network of synapses (something that enables nerve cells to pass messages to another nerve cell), and on the greater scale aren't we all just a network of synapses? Our consciousness would be the neuron cell, and our bodies would be the synapses. To an extent we let our consciousness be dictated by external stimuli (including the consciousness by others), so I found the concept of words being entangled in the midst of synaptic algorithms quite interesting, since we, on some level, adjust our words from our original thoughts. A thought-provoking piece!

Dragon Star by Ah Satan 666 4 points
This is just a testament to the true creativeness of Natasha! It was extremely vivid and I fell in love with it immediately - I only checked the visual prompt after reading the poem, and I can see how she was inspired. Seriously in such a short amount of words, she managed to transport me to a beautiful realm. I honestly wished it was longer!

    Baby Rainbow (Acrostic) 4 points
A beautiful acrostic poem that reflected the personality of the poet. Needless to say it's quite unique beautiful, and enlightening to the reader to know such deep secrets of someone and in be in awe for they are not ashamed of letting others get to know who they truly are. A great read to be sure!
