Arguments II

I recall that Nicko once took the challenge of which came first the chicken or the egg (he did not say the Rooster ) I posed the question which came first intelligence or design to another existentialist and was not as impressed with his explanation . I was taught biology from the simplest life form to the most complex and I forgot which came first the heart or the brain.

Intelligence or design, nice!! you raised the bet higher than what the players could afford.
I am familiar with these circular arguments. Though brain and heart is not one of them nor wealth or knowledge exedra.
It is like to say cause come first or effect knowing each cause was affected by previous cause because nothing could be causeless.
Like the intelligence or design: INTELIGENCE IS A DESIGN!!

It would also be interesting to guess when emotion develops before the first cry

    Blood pressure[edit]

It is the fetal heart and not the mother's heart that builds up the fetal blood pressure to drive its blood through the fetal circulation.

Intracardiac pressure remains identical between the right and left ventricles of the human fetus.[3]

The blood pressure in the fetal aorta is approximately 30 mmHg at 20 weeks of gestation, and increases to ca 45 mmHg at 40 weeks of gestation.[4] The fetal pulse pressure is ca 20 mmHg at 20 weeks of gestation, increasing to ca 30 mmHg at 40 weeks of gestation.[4]

The blood pressure decreases when passing through the placenta. In the arteria umbilicalis, it is ca 50 mmHg. It falls to 30 mmHg in the capillaries in the villi. Subsequently, the pressure is 20 mm Hg in the umbilical vein, returning to the heart.

I actually learnt that this year in biology, but Heaven alone knows I cannot recall which came first, though I believe it was the heart...here's to me failing my biology exam #drink to that ha ha.

Gosh I've missed you guys and your ping pong arguments that never actually get anywhere!!!! :-P

Even if your heart was just a bio pump to feed your organs which include your brain ,and your soul the air in your lung cavity , they would have to get along better than most of us ping pong players to produce the yin yang to support life.

    ...argument? anyone?

Hah: "ping pong arguments that never actually get anywhere!!!!"

haha unlike me, it is not suppose to go anywhere the way you expect to, dear. You so pristine, you should get use to it now.
What I say now only you and a few might understand:
That ping pong rhythm is everything, it is THE MUSIC: tick tack, heartbeat, seesaw, love making, waves, mountain and valleys, concave and convex ... they all the continues beats of the universe. universe is nothing but that undulation, the electromagnetic wave, quantum reflection. mirror of atoms and solar system , stalagmite and stalactite, phylogeny and ontogeny... universe vibes and expand in that oscillation, in space and time, it evolves but evolution is not a harbour, it is expansion.

There is no destination from the point A to B. There is the same going and return and that sustain the survival of A and B equally and mutually: everything is equal and mutual to pulsate.
I learned it once listening to the bird song in Tuscan Arizona. Universe is a butterfly, and it Ping-Pongs in order to flutter. With playing ping pong we vibrate, we survive, we run like a river we sand, we furbish our edges. And when we are soft enough we become part of the system like sand; we join the hour glass, we become part of the bird song, the infinity, the active part of infinity.
It is all in THE MUSIC!!!!

Michael...I've read a little about the body's chakras and...for those who believe, it would appear that, if they are unbalanced, the mind and body's yin and yang will be totally out of whack. Your thoughts?

"Michael...I've read a little about the body's chakras and...for those who believe, it would appear that, if they are unbalanced, the mind and body's yin and yang will be totally out of whack. Your thoughts?"

For my purposes the yin and yang represent chemical balance . Chemical Balance in terms of spirit is not often a common phrase . The Chinese that operate the restaurants in my town reflect a healthier balance although many are getting oriented in the unbalanced ways of the western corruption

Chakras exist within our vertebras and brain, all except the first one, the one responsible for the basic; The animal!! G spot, the Muladhara

Well, anything you could elaborate on would be most welcome. As I said...it's only something I've glimpsed at recently but...something that interests me nonetheless...

  • Michael D Nalley

The function of the chakras is to spin and draw in this energy to keep the spiritual, mental, emotional and physical health of the body in balance. I can use a computer with the limited understanding I have but I am not chemically balanced . I was inspired to use the phrase "chemical balance through spirituality" though my peace is not something that comes from my mind alone ,nor is my dogmatic language easily understood by all (not by me) because my health leaves much to be desired

But Doctor, he is dying of cancer!!

Damn you are right chiropractic do not cure cancer! It is useless !

This is a result of confused logic. I said chiropractic, I could say dentistry, psychology. They all are useless because they do not cure cancer, according to Kevin
The only science, medicine... are valid when they are able to cure cancer. On that note even the medicine doesn't cure cancer either so far.

Chakras are the intermediates of physical and energy body.

chakras are quite reachable by anyone. The only reason that chakras remain unnoticeable because an average man consumes all his vital energy in the first two chakras by sexual activities. Although in tantric rituals they teach to cultivate those chakras through practising sexuality but that has another sideaffects.
the human energy in the level of the two basic chakras is called libido, from then up it purifies and in the level of the last chakra((seventh)) it transform to celestial and is absolutely pure. This reflected somehow in Freud theory of sublimation.
People who practice abstinence after a while begin to feel the energy. the Kundalini (not using it in proper term) like a snake starts curling up their spines. The chakras when they open feel exactly like orgasm, but in non sexual way, though as powerful and pleasurable or even more. They are more close to G spot (( first chakra))orgasm than the regular ones. So for an average man who love orgasm and do not cultivate that energy and loses it in sexual activities(not clean one like in marriage or love because having permanent partner helps to retrieve that energy again instead of going to so many different individual that would not be retrievable for ever. Also love would cultivate it even farther) is impossible to experience the whole body, lets say orgasm, for the lack of better word.

    I love llamas for llamas are my life;
Llamas were the animals I loved as
    a child
Llamas were painted in my old bedroom,
    but most important of all
Llamas are the ones with the secret hearts

I used to believe in Chakra's and the like. I did a Reiki healing course when I was 19 because I wanted to help people, and also myself. Chakra's, and Chi and ideas of a similar nature sound nice, they sound cool and if the person explaining them is halfway smart they even sound legitimate. Sadly there isn't a shred of proof they exist outside of placebo, wishful thinking and really bad pseudo science of the kind that turd blossom Depak Chopra preaches.

However, if someone is able to show me some properly credited research to the contrary I'd love to see it as I really did like the idea of it. It was one of those beliefs I was sad to give up...but you know, if you value truth as much as I do you can't mess around with childish ideas your whole life.

Well it is good to have faith in properly credited research, it is good to give credit were it is due and not to the guru

Haha get Dali lama instead :) :)

    About Chakras:
long time ago me and few friend of mine were hiking and we came across a river I cross the river by jumping over stones without getting wet I had experience my friend almost did the same there was a little danger involved because in the middle, the currents were too powerful. So we were in the other side of the river waiting for two other friends to cross but they were so immersed in a discussion about how is the proper way to build a bridge across that river, due to the fact that both of them were highly accomplished civil Engineers . I yelled across the river aren't you going to cross or you are waiting for the bridge to be complete? Then I felt they are ignoring me in the way that: we are discussing something you do not understand . Later I realize the real reason behind their scientific contemplation about building a bridge was fear. They said it is almost impossible and that only brainless people like us could do such leap over such distances on the rocks because landing on any rock you had to use the acceleration to make another leap otherwise the next leap was impossible due to the distance and the rock were too narrow to sustain your balance because there were hardly a room for the second foot.
In ranger training, in the high level, they take you to the mountain in absolute darkness (night without moonlight) they leave you alone by yourself for a while( it is absolutely terrifying experience in the wilderness alone in total darkness) and then they somehow scare you by shooting or other tricks and then out of fear you start to run like crazy without seeing any rock or the road even the slop itself. If you fall down you really get hurt on that rough surface. But for those trainer who watch you with special glasses in the dark the accuracy of your leaps over the rocks and all the obstacle is spectacular. HOW does one do that? they say there is special radar in the body that activate in the stat of such panic.
Now where is that radar placed in the body? scientist have no clue. How did we manage to leap over the rock on the river? By not thinking about it, actually the trainer always tell you as soon as you think about it you fall down to the river. What that my smart engineer friends ironically could not comprehend : "not to think about it". It is the same thing those dare devils do when they walked across the Negara or... Because they let the body take over. Of course there are lots of training involved.
I could show you so many links to see that when scientist measure the vibration activities around the position of chakras, increase in much higher rate in the time the real practitioners focus on them comparing to ones of average people. But you could go search yourself. it is so easy.
Another testimony to the chakras are the personal experiences , the reason that you gave up is because it is hard work and needs lots of dedication. I experience the orgasmic sensation in the level of my chakras and those feeling are undeniable. But not for you, you have to wait for the bridge to be built to cross those gaps you who are not even an engineer.
How could you prove acupuncture that there are over 60 thousand pressure point in the body. They mapped it thousand years ago and the practical application of these pressure points are phenomenon. In some part of modern medicine they use acupuncture to anaesthetize locally or completely and that is much safer for the overall health of the patents. They say in the future the acupuncture is going to totally be included to the conventional medicinal.
The scientific approaches that people like you are so impressed with, if considered in the historical perspective, have failed to explain things and ridiculed aspects of experimental knowledge, that future, time proved their accuracy, and also the flaws in the conventional science approaches of the time with new ( ironically) scientific tools and accessions.
For example Newton physic used to ignore a lots of phenomena in the study of light that the electromagnetic wave could explain immediately which was not available at the time. A better example: people like you with the scientific approach of their own time, use to laugh at the possibility of microbes living in food and organic materials before microscope, merely because they were not visible. They also called those possibilities fairytale, until Louis Pasteur proved them otherwise.
All these said But I respect that you do not believe anything unless it is scientifically proven. there are so many new age gurus and con artists claiming the most ridicules phenomena that they are absolutely imaginary, so one should be careful, YET in the same time do not blindfold him/herself to the possibilities and the future.
