A new communication system

Guys I feel that p & Q needs a new system ,a faster system to show us our messages like a live interface or a chat window or at least an alert when we are on line and receive a message . What do you people think and if everyone shares my opinion can something be done about it?

Yes, we would like to make a lot of changes/improvements, but no, nothing can be done about it while the site administrator/owner is absent. It's great to exchange ideas in the meantime. We recently discussed bringing the chat room back with an amendment -- it's only open and accessible when a moderator is present in it.

Hmmm... That's actually a really good idea, and yeah it would probably be safer all round having at least one mod online at a time.also, where exactly is the director/creator/owner of the site and we should really consider asking him to form some sort of system to get hold of him when needed, or otherwise see if he'd approve of a mod being a stand-in administrator whilst he's gone, especially now because everyone has all these awesome ideas but nobody can do anything without the administrator, just an idea :-\

What I men is can there be something done so that all our notifications can be seen while we are online, like right now if I get a message I wouldn't know, I'd have to go to account news for that. If something such as a notification bar is set up we can know whats happening . Many times it so happens that I am online and someone sends me a message and I don't know about it till the next time I log in.But then again this idea needs to reach the owner.

I agree to that, the chat room idea sounds lovely.

It would not be hard at all to rig a notice button for new messages - if only we had access to the site design. For that we need Janis. Your idea is great & goes onto our wish list for his return.
