Who and what are moderators

What do they do and who are they on this site?

hmmm.........i have no idea. ............i wonder if they write poetry too!

The moderators on the site are:

Kevin Murray
Ann Marie (I think... correct me if I'm wrong)
I dont know the others by name...

And the Admins... the big daddys with the actual power to affect any change (the people you want to be in tight with if you like those awards and erased down votes ;) ):

Janis Krummins (I think thats HIS last name [Isnt Janis a girls name??])

Yes, I am a mod

Right now, what we do is keep an eye on the forums. Cleaning up any profanity and disrespectfulness. We can edit/delete individual posts as well as lock/delete entire threads.

I am a little more strict on the profanity thing. I will replace just about every "swear" word. If you don't want your post edited, don't swear :)

We also are able to see the comments that have been "complained" about and can choose whether to leave or delete them.

And Yes, I/we write poetry, too...

I'm relatively lax when it comes to swear words, but pretty strict on stupid crap (sorry Ann Marie). If you don't want your post edited, don't be stupid ;-)

Hey, maybe we should moderate the same categories... then we would have very clean, very non-stupid posts!!! :)

I have a question for Sean and Ann. How do you guys become moderators? Just wondering. Doubt that I could ever become one, but it'd still be nice to know.

Ok, do you just pick anyone? Do they have to have good poetry? Or awards? Or post a lot?

poetry and awards don't matter. Being active on the forums (positively) is helpful.

We just added two new moderators recently, so I don't think he will be adding more anytime soon. But it won't hurt to ask.

A while back this guy named GoldenKnight asked Janis if he felt like he needed help around here, and a fellow named Aken Sol (a personal friend of mine) chimed in. So I followed suit and we soon all found ourselves with moderator powers.
