    Hi,

I remember a very long thread related to different types of poetry forms, I just can't find it. It was here for years and it was pretty useful.

Would you kindly post in this thread all related links.

    Thank you

I don't remember a tread that talked about poetry forms but here is a site that has information about different poetry forms:

Thanks dear, shadowpoetry.com is indeed a great informative web site for poetry formats, still poems-and-quotes.com the best ever.

I had a previous account 2007-2010 and I still remember that amazing thread very well.

Hmm.. now I'm curious. I joined this site back in 2011. That's probably why I don't have a clue.

    By the way, Welcome back.

Edit: was that thread in this forum?

    I found this link:

    http://www.poems-and-quotes.com/discussion/topic.html?topic_id=58252

    and this one:

^^^ Nice, thank you for everything.

I think the thread I'm referring to was posted by Bob and seems like he left the site as many others that's why the thread disappeared.

This site was full of great mentors and critics as well, I just feel bad that we cannot bring up topic that is older than 180 days!

I think shadow poetry is the main website that we use to inspire, Speaking of, what forms are everyones favorite?

I personally love shorter forms like haiku and senryu, because for me, it takes skill to write a good one

I think those which depend on creating imagery would always be my favorite, like the Septolet and the Tableau.

Still, very challenging to give a try to all forms, it's like playing with the words.

I default to short forms, challenging myself to parse the unneeded.

On the other hand I never met a form type I did not love.
