    Articulation and Silence

    Colm is quiet, doesn't prattle
    but when he speaks
    it's important
    or it's grand talk
of the type that makes you
    think deeply
    feel profoundly
    or clarify reality.

    His are dog-bone words
you need to hold onto awhile
    to ponder and work at
    until you've worried out
    all the flavor
    and crunched to the marrow.

    Mel:

She has the heart of an architect,
    molding metaphors and prayer beads
    before writing about another sunrise
she will travel to. Winds call to her,
words follow her until her breaths are
stained with memories that she must
paint, exhale onto a new canvas.
    Sleeping to the strange sounds
of the city but dreaming to the comfort
of the sea - how poetry visits her on
streets where she reads art from fingertips
and lonely eyes that remind her we are
    all drifting, waiting to dwell
    somewhere.

The Key Chain Whispers For Britt

    This lady placed a smile
upon my face, many years ago.

She was young at the time,
placed within a rich, forrest green sky-

Oregon knows not the beauty that
    resides within their state.

She exudes elegance as she prances
around in elegant fashion, her love for
God, Husband and elderly- Her passion.

My memories run deep of our friendship.

    Her strength overcomes more obstacles
than I can fathom, and eternally inspired
I shall always be, for I adore Brittney.

    Keychains contain laughter,
    differences set aside,
    our friendship is forever
and that is a truth I can't hide.

She's been my pillar of stone
    throughout the years,
I have to stop writing this
    because I'm in tears.

    Love you Britt~

    Play me a song

There's a poet on the piano
    playing ballads from her life
    like bedtime stories we've read
when sleep was out of reach.

I may never of spoken to you
    but through writing I've learned
    secrets that you kept close;
some I relate to my own.

    Everyday your poems are heard
    throughout our community halls
as your words echo in our hearts
and your smile brightens our own.

There's a poet on the piano
    keeping our secrets safe
    as we quietly whisper thanks
for the love that you have shared.

    A, Godfather.

    A glimmer of justice
    in a shredded world;
    a man of honor,
    a man of word.

    A serene merge
    of wit and insight,
    seducing the world
    to chuckle into light.

    A genuine leader to those
    who have lost their path;
    no one but the Godfather
    would smoothly blow-off the wrath.

A virtue sword of silver crest
    thriving through a fleeting land,
    in glory and triumph,
    constantly lifting up a hand.

    Ode to Meena Krish

    She whispers tears
    within her lines
    of detailed forms
    and heartfelt rhymes.

    Meena sachet's like
    an elegant swan
    tending to poets,
    reading their song.

    A beautiful writer,
    full of grace
    I hope this poem
puts a smile on her face.

    Jane what can I say?
    You're one of the few
    mods that I know, and
    get along with (sometimes)
    No, don't get me wrong I don't
dislike any of the others but
    some days I dislike everyone.
All I can truly say about you is
    that you have personality that
I true enjoy, so thank you for
once being my friend. For me
    you'll always be sliveshoes because
you walked into my life and made
it shine and then walked off into
the sunset. So when I make and give
this poem, everyone else will see
and read it, know that you are a good
person and I'm proud that you're
one of the mods for this site.
So thank you Jane and have a wonderful
    day.

    Astounding poems.
Thanks, Winter-Fox for running this piece.

As to the author for my own:
    "constantly lifting up a hand"
I admit, I do ask for a lot of bathroom breaks.
    Goes with the age thing.

OMG that is SO cute. I originally was looking for a winter Fox for my profile picture! Haha.

Sorry I haven't asked people to call me Alex in a long time, it's honestly one of the reasons I wanted to leave the site. (As dumb as that sounds)

I actually was just recently named by my best friend and her mother (adopted family) because I didn't like the fact I was choosing my own name.. it was an old complaint I've had my whole life...

Not going to release it here today though because I already have like 6 names I go by on here
