It was really just a "what if" question...you know...what if his father had stayed on the scene would that have had an influence on Barack Jnr's religious followings? What if it had and Barack was a muslim...would he be president of USA today? What if he was both muslim and US president....how would this effect the world today? Nothing to do with right/left wing....it was intended as a circumstantial question.
