About a month ago I was diagnosed with major depression and bipolor. I have been put on two different meds. The first one wasn't working so we switched. Now that I have taken my new medication for about a month my doctor and I don't feel that it is working so I have to switch again. which sucks hardcore.

So... forgive me if I have taken the tone of the post wrong, but it sounds as if your claiming that your special because you have a diagnosis...

So are you trying to claim that everyone who doesn't have a diagnosis isn't actually dealing with pain?
If so, what about those who don't want the attention and don't go to doctors begging for it, and seclude it to themselves?

people who say they have been diagnosed in here don't want attention theyr answering a ? and i do agree .. just because u haven't been dianosed doesn't mean u don't deal with the same pain as someone who is. but i don't think people who are depressed want attention ...... thats just me

I was dianosed with manic depression and being bipolar i thought it was the same thing, whatever, close enough.

Im sorry but I have to agree with pinkalias's first reply to this post. People can still be depressed even if they havent had a doctor confirm it. It sounds as if you think you are different because you have been diagnosed, but really there could be many depressed people who simply havent let anyone know how depressed they are. And dont you think people might be able to judge themselves better than a doctor, seeing as only they can know what they feel like?
