WINNERS:
Weeping by: Karla
"This week Karla blows her audience away with a complex honesty that almost any artist can relate to. The word choice is phenomenal, the style is beautiful and Karla's voice stands out wonderfully on its own. I couldn't find anything off or in any sort of need for improvement anywhere in this piece. Absolutely wonderful read, heartrending." (10)

"Karla left me speechless! A woman can hide behind words but the tears still fall.... her unique style is etched and laced in every word of this poem. She captured her heart and it's very moving, from start to finish... A must read this week!!!" (7)

"After reading all the poems, it was obvious that we do have some amazing talents and that picking 3 poems out of all the amazingly well written poem is not something easy, however when I read this poem, I knew I was going to vote for it. Reading through the poems, for some reason this one spoke to me in such a loud manner, the title the word choice, the emotions in this piece, the message and the relate-ability that I think is very easy to find in this piece, was touching. This is one poem that speaks from the deep pain of the writer, right, to the deep heart of the reader. Sometimes we just say the opposite of what we feel, in hope of having the other person understand our real hidden fearful desire. A genuine poem." (4)

If Religion by: Ms Sunshine
"This poem is so creative and the wording is very impressive. I find it so refreshing and unique and something that really stands out this week above the rest. I think the poet has found a good rhythm and has structured the poem well. It is a very though-provoking poem which makes the reader ponder on life, religion and the world as it stands. The questions come across as directed towards the reader themselves, and it really pulls the reader in. Great poem!" (10)

"This esoteric poem delivered such a powerful message about the truth of religion if understand by the masses could bring a peace beyond understanding." (10)

Dream Poem by: Larry
"EPIC! Whether this sort of challenge is about creating a dream, or elaborating thoughts provoked by one, or something totally different, since no description about the challenge was provided, in all cases I found this to be such a thought pondering poem. It is very coherent and powerful, a thriller poem in fact! The title made it seem like something flowery for the 1st second, however I did not see all these verses coming! I find this to be very different and self-praising, if not this poem and its well treated story and settings map, then I am not sure which would be front page worthy! Well done!" (10)
-
"I love everything about this poem, the theme delivered so well with a flawless flow and a storyline blending perfectly with complex metaphor" (7)

Mourning Peach by: Larry
"The word 'mourning' being used in the title is an exact match to what this poem holds. Sir Larry has made a great job at describing this mourning through this poem, and this is one of those poems that emphasizes the point... "Show your reader, don't tell them." It is a very beautiful poem, with stunning metaphors and a really moving message to be read." (7)
-
"Mourning the loss of a love, encased in nature... Breathtaking! Larry's word usage with fragrance, a woman's scent and soul... Her presence is still within and yet absent. Pure elegance.... beautiful poem Larry!" (4)

Watching and weeping as time drips away by: Darren
"Darren poured his soul out in this piece. Using the nature metaphor was a very classy approach to capture his message. There is such a stigma in society that men are not to cry, but humans cry, it's a natural emotion. Darren captures the message in this piece with such power and grace... I was so captivated. My take on this may be a bit off, but that's how I felt while reading.... Truly a wonderful poem!" (10)

The Flower Petals by: TheOneNoOneSees
"This author has taken many of us back to when we were in elementary/middle school playing with flowers at recess because we were too scared to play tag or hide and seek with our crush. It's refreshing to see a slightly different take on the old chant, one that puts a much more personal touch to the person's confusion and shows just how desperate she is for a true answer - a solution. The wording here is great. The style is unique and the flow is spot on. This is a piece where you can see the scene, the way it's written I saw flashbacks narrated by the chant - it was absolutely beautiful; each reader is able to create their own take and yet it still brings them to tears with the perfection of this write." Vestals (Acrostic Mix) by: Maple Tree
"Vestals, what kind of mix is this piece of rosy-art?! A small poem that holds LOVE from its purest corners and teaches indirectly the true moral of being in love. You did start of by taking off possibilities, to confirm your motives; it was not...it was, as if you are defending a truth that is so genuinely present in every word. I loved this poem a lot, often love poems are cheesy, this was simply a Vestals poem. Well done." (7)

Chaotic Black by: Meme
"Meme constructed a powerful poem this week which caught my attention with the creative and mysterious title. The narration of the poem itself is pleasant, it holds a good flow, and is also surprisingly suspenseful towards the end. I like how the ending is a cliff-hanging type, where the reader's mind then does not finish with the end of the poem, but instead it starts a whole creative story of its own as it explores a second part of the poem." Glass houses are for rocks by: Shevanel
"Absolutely beautiful, the imagery especially. A sad, but well penned story of loss and how some people choose to live in their imagination before being able to move on or even to grieve. Stunning write in every sense." (4)

Tempest by: Senyru
"I was blown away by the cool imagery of this well-structured poem." (4)
