"Better Than Coffee (senryu)" by: Meme
"This poem is spectacular, with it's short length yet mind blowing content! I could just repeat those words to myself over and over again.
Many people have this relationship with coffee, and the 1st thing that comes to mind is attachment.
The description, "urges" "Warm voice" egh my mouth got actually watered, I could just get the feeling the writer was trying to pen down. This is one of the best poems I've read by this talented writer that I would struggle if I don't choose it as my number one for this week! Well done!" (10)

A beautiful, simple senyru that captures the essence of relationships in a way that it feels has been lost. Explaining them to being better than coffee is stunning because what other substance is so abundant in most parts of today's world that it is encountered at least once a day while still managing to be both comforting and lovely. The voice in this piece is gorgeous and lonely while still maintaining hope that the memory is enough for now. Stunningly penned. (10)

"Mud" by: Chelsey
"When one reads the title, one could not possibly interpret where this piece could be leading them. What an emotional poem, the heart has been spelled out. A poem that is not leaning on beautifying its words with complexities but speaking the soul reality of love and the imperfect essence and beauty of its flaws in the most perfect way.
A priceless message. The wording just got better and better the more the writer elaborated on her thoughts. On a side note, just minor spell-checks to be taken into consideration;
existance should be "existence"
permenant should be "permanent"
my Iove should be " my love"
Other than that, a gold-coated piece. Loved it." (7)

"I feel this poem depicts the purest form of erotic love (at least for me )" (4)

"Home" by: Mel
"Mel is the Queen of word display in my opinion... this deeply moving description of her home leaves me speechless!!
I tasted salt water.. I could hear and ocean perhaps... just wow!
Elegant, and powerful on visual displays!! Lovely!!" (7)

"This poem feels like home. Very stylish, unique, different. Speaks of its own genre, has its own stamp! What a very classy art. Fell for every single word, from the very 1st you to the very last point in this poem.
The imagery is just unbelievably original and innovative. This is one of those poems that one ponders upon.
The many different aspects in the poem reflects how this personal attribute in its different forms, and different circumstances could be related-by, by anyone else towards their own by the strong affection and emotion between the lines.
The poem stands like a queen in this contest. Keep the ink flowing." (4)

"Speak" by: Poetess
"Top notch emotional poem this week by Poetess! I was in awe of each line written in this poem! I truly feel every reader who reads this poem can relate in some way... not to be heard or the fear of speaking and then to be ignored can shut a person down very quickly..
This poem can apply to all relationships and shows how powerful communication can be and how it can destroy a soul if not revived as well..
A touching piece this week!" (10)

"This Etheree struck me as constructed the way I believe one should be ,the title being the source of light" (10

"1973" by: Britt
"This poem is so touching on such a deep level, it speaks of such an innocent soul struggling with the stress of life, and the lingering thoughts that can consume oneself. The poem is short in content, but filled with creative and unique metaphors." (10)

"Traveling in stone" by: Poet on the Piano
"Polished river rocks in comparison to us as writers is spot on! I had to highlight this piece for its very upfront and powerful connection! A wonderful short write by Mary Anne this week!! (4)
-
"Although short poems can sometimes lack something important, I feel this poem shows us how it can be done, and done well! Mary has captured the inner mind-set of a writer here, and who better to understand the words, than her fellow poets! Short, but thought-provoking and powerful at the same time." (4)

"Love en route" by: Meme
"This poem's structure and form appealed to me in the line up this week, and I am fairly impressed by the standard! The poem is pleasurable to read, it is filled with a content which the author can relate to, and is a beautifully constructed poem. Meme has done a great job with this poem, well done." (7)

"Rain" by Rings of Poetry AKA Naughtymouse
Amazing. This piece blows me away in its immaculate display of beautiful meaningful moments in life and how they not only last as memories but impact other aspects of our lives. Nature poems tend to be overlooked, but this one is well worth the read, read with the right mindset and it can be just as sensual as it can naturey. Stunning use of words to share the scene's wealth with us, and the voice the author chose to use in this piece makes it all the more fantastic in the way it entices the audience so simply. (7)

"Tinsel Tom" by: Maple Tree
"Some how I viewed this well written poem from so many angles, Tinsel Tom became a cross between iron man and the tin man in need of a mothers love rather than an oz." (7)

"Paradise" by: Sam
A very descriptive piece, vivid enough to set the scene for a reader and show the torment that overcomes the author (or character) without being so overwhelmingly emotional/dark to set the reader off or deter them from finishing a read of the piece. Very masterfully skilled balance between theme and feeling. The word choice is also wonderful, it tames the repetition in the body of the piece while also personifying the pain or misery. (4)
