    COMMENTS:

My Old Story - Mahal Ko Kuya Ko (10 points)

The beauty of flowers and mourning a loss as and
always will be beauty and a sign of renewal for me, I
was taken away by this poem! Its graceful flow and
rhythmic style held me from start to finish! Lovely and
    elegant piece this week!!

My Old Story by Mahal Ko Kuya Ko (10 points)

Whoa, this piece is stunning; the imagery was an
excellent way of not only setting a scene but cluing
us into the tone of the piece as well. There is a voice in
this that is almost hauntingly sweet in the way it
references the sorrows of Greek mythology, not just the
highlights or stories that everyone's heard at least once
in their life. The personification in the first stanza gives
this piece a personal touch, a hint of mystery that the
reader can never understand quite right, while allowing
the rest of the piece to be universal in an overly inviting
sort of way. It is enchanting - even if it is not a
    lighthearted kind of magical.

Soul of a Dead Star Waltz - Larry Chamberlin the Godfather (4 points)

When a person loves their dancing partner with heart
and soul, it can make a heart feel like they are less than
the other. because the love for the other rises so high,
however the joys overcome the insecurities within and happiness prevails... I may be way off on my amaryllis
of this poem by Larry, but it's they way I felt while reading.
Powerful and explosive poem by Larry this week!

Soul of a Dead Star Waltz - Larry Chamberlin the Godfather (10 points)

The true personification of Stars in harmony with my understanding of astronomical universal consciousness
    was reflected in this masterpiece.

Traveling in stone - Poet on the Piano (4 points)

That title got me at 1st blink. This short poem is very rich.
The images and word choice is utterly creative, this poem
felt like a shelter for me in a certain sense or another !
Loved every single line. Loved the "writers" "We" "all"
this customization with the general audience just works
very well here. Well done for writing this.

Traveling in Stone - Poet on the piano (7 points)

A simple piece written in a such a way that it allows those
who are not interested in poetry or writing to understand
why those things are such huge parts of others' lives.
It also allows writers of all kinds to boil down their craft
to such bare bones that those who have lost sight of why
they do what they do can gain perspective again. A
beautifully simple write from Maryanne this week.

Your Footsteps and Apathies by Mahal Ko Kuya Ko

Omitted - Poet on the Piano

    Hailstorm - Kakera

    Distressed Souls -Chamomile

    My Potion - Maple Tree

How I Long For The Days Of Yore -DarkJedi

    Something -Melpomene

    The Martyr -Senyru

Your Footsteps and Apathies - Mahal Ko Kuya Ko (4 points)

There is a sense of strength in the way this piece was
written - a strength that rarely exists within pieces of
this tone, but it turned out wonderfully and helped
create a voice and a very unique taste of imagery - it's gorgeous. Really, this piece leaves an interesting impact
on the reader and it keeps them wondering what
exactly happened while still relating in their own individual way. Phenomenally penned.

Omitted - Poet on the Piano (10 points)

MaryAnne has given us a thought-provoking piece with
this entry this week, and I couldn't help but read it
several times and grow more attached with each read.
I feel it sits on such an honest situation, with honest
thoughts swirling around that ink. I feel it was portrayed
more as a diary entry, or a letter to the Mother, and still
the flow was pleasant and smooth. Powerful emotion of
guilt within this piece, and a sorrowful tone, but at the
same time there is a sense that the guilt cannot be too
deep because this is simply how it is, and has to be. Really interesting write.
    ----------------------------------------------------------------------

    Hailstorm - Kakera (7 points)

Gripping poem which speaks volumes of emotions. This
is quite a raw poem, taken fro that dark place where have
all traveled and feel like there is no escape from, and
Kakera has shown this dark place using a mix of
creative wording, and honest emotions straight out.
    ---------------------------------------------------------------------

Distressed Souls - Chamomile (4 points)

This poem captured the essence of distressed souls
with departed with unfinished business or the ones we
    see every day.
    ----------------------------------------------------------------------

My Potion - Maple Tree (7 points)
I think the poet had me at "naked birch tree" in this
free flawlessly flowing poem of poets passion potions.

My Potion - Maple Tree (4 points)

A very creative piece by Andrea this week, which really
shows her skills in being able to transform ordinary things
into such unique metaphors. The poem is beautifully constructed, and I really enjoyed the idea of the poem
being about poetry itself, and how it can be used to communicate so well. Lovely job.
    ----------------------------------------------------------------------

How I Long For The Days Of Yore - DarkJedi (7 points)

This was very moving, the style and the form which we
have been missing lately, is very praise worthy. The words
are touching, words of wisdom, words that move you and
that anyone can relate to. The rhyme scheme, just
mastered. One could also pick up that very humanist and
kind message from this well written poem. Simply beautiful.
    ---------------------------------------------------------------------

    Something - Melpomene (10 points)

This poetess has such a very unique way of word
expression. As if she has her own thumb print on every
poem she writes. This poem just feels like the reader
wrote it, it makes you feel related, close and leaves
something inside you. The word choice and how they
are picked aside of each other made this strong impact.
Loved the title too, something..just something. Very smart.
    ----------------------------------------------------------------------

The Martyr - Senyru (7 points)

The beauty of a woman or loved one is captivating in
this poem by Senryu this week! I pictured a graceful
woman flowing within the starts of night and sun by
day! Ending the poem with "She was Melody" just was
perfect, for nature and beauty of a precious soul is
    melodic! WONDERFUL!!
