    Snowflakes - Sam

    COMMENTS:

    Snowflakes - Sam (7 points)

This week Sam writes something that begins as relate-able
so it is enticing and then throws a curve by making the
piece all that much more personal to themselves.
Usually this cannot be done without disconnecting
yourself from the audience, but here, Sam has done it flawlessly while also maintaining colorful word choices
and vivid imagery. The flow is satin and the style is phenomenal.

    Snowflakes - Sam (10 points)

This poem is filled with metaphors which are really
creative, and also unique. I found they fitted well with
the content of the poem and the message inside is quite
a poignant message. Sam has made a good job at
reaching out to the reader's emotions in this piece.

    Untitled - Nourayasmine (4 points)

This piece has a sense of imagery that is so unique it
really sets its own tone for this piece. The style is amazing
and the way the moment is captured is not only vividly picturesque but able to blow the audience away so
effortlessly. It feels like it is written just for you even if
you've never been anywhere close to this kind of life and
it really leaves the reader in a train of thought that cannot
    be more enticing.

    Untitled - nourayasmine (10 points)

"You pack your bags, and leave.
You head for a land that is less chaotic,"

The truth is these lines made my mind race to Barakat
who was a second-year student at the UNC School
of Dentistry, who was raising money on a fundraising
site to provide dental care to Syrian refugees in Turkey.
    Then these lines:

"But truth is, you'll realize it won't be easy.
Truth is, with time, those foreigners who
may pay you to draw them by calligraphy
    they'll never understand
will find a better street artist."

Made me think of stereo typing that so often the mud
that finds its way to most chins. I found myself empathizing with beautiful characters in metaphoric calligraphy that
have inherited a stigma. Anyway if I took this inspired
poem somewhere the author did not intend to send it I
am sorry. I think the title should be imagined as the
apropos calligraphy that needs presenting artfully

Love Blooms In The Garden Of Winter (Acrostic)
    - Beautiful Soul (10 points)

This is a very small form of poetry, however this haiku
in particular is mind blowing. The title itself stood with its
own theme. Despite the cold, it must take some warmth to
let love melt all the ice. A very touching poem, and it's
worth mentioning that the multi-forms gave this just a push
    to be my favorite choice.

Still Burning (for you) - poet on the piano

Is the end near - Dagmar Wilson

Yelling at the stars - Senyru

    Static Stars - Ms SunShine

    Bipolar - Sincuna

This Poem Is No Bluebell - Mahal Ko Kuya Ko

Changing Of The Tides (haiku) - Beautiful Soul

    Mont Saint-Michel - Senyru

    Motion - Everlasting

    Mother Earth - Dark Jedi

Still Burning (for you) - poet on the piano (10 points)

This piece has a unique flow to it and a wonderful sense of style-infused voice. The tone is so heartbreaking and yet manages to be something completely beautiful. MaryAnne puts us in her shoes to enough of a degree for us to imagine the scene and yet keeping out the details that would make this too open and uninteresting. Each stanza is started off with the word I, narrating the piece in a way, then on a separate line explains whatever she is thinking in a manipulated paragraph so to speak, which is an unusual structure to some but it brings a personality to this piece that really makes it pop that much more. And finally, the conclusion of "you" twists it and shows that the piece was more like a vent or letter to whoever she cares about so deeply. It's a wonderful way of getting something off her chest, but it's also so completely captivating that it's worth the read.

Is the end near - Dagmar Wilson (4 points)

This poem speaks really loud about the truth of the world
at the moment and the state that it is in. I think it is good
the Dagmar has not tried to fill the poem with anything
other than the thoughts which were swimming in her head
at the time and she clearly shows us how the way of the
world is affecting her emotions. It is a poem that makes
you feel helpless about the future of the world. A
    simple, yet great write!

    ----------------------------------------------------------------------

Yelling at the stars - Senyru (7points)

I found this poem to be captivating in its word choice, and
also quite well laid out, as well as a touching message
and really creative expressions. A beautiful write.

    ----------------------------------------------------------------------

Static Stars - Ms SunShine (7points)

I could give you the scientific reasons why the mere
title captured me ; it involves RCA and ancient astrology
(put that in your Google and click it ) And then there is cyclone Pam (only a whisper to those far from the force)
My reasoning is more poetic and I fear my words could not
    do justice here.

    ----------------------------------------------------------------------

    Bipolar - Sincuna (4points)

I believe this poem covers well the grey area of a disorder
that often defies spiritual balance . Very skillfully written
    ----------------------------------------------------------------------

This Poem Is No Bluebell - Mahal Ko Kuya Ko (7 points)

This is extra creative, the word choice is just outstanding
and fresh. From title to the 1st line to the last word and
last period, this was just a master piece. The magical
moment described the way you chose to, added a breath
of personal yet charming imagery. This is a sport on poem, hope you make it to the front page.

    ----------------------------------------------------------------------

Changing Of The Tides (haiku) - Beautiful Soul (4 points)

This is another outstanding form poem for this week.
It's really refreshing how talents are getting more and
more involved into writing forms poems that's deep
and beautiful. The whole bond between the title, the
theme, the form, and the poem itself is thought provoking,
the wording was accurate and metaphorical.

    Loved this to pieces.
    ----------------------------------------------------------------------

    Mont Saint-Michel - Senyru (10 points)

This poem paints beautiful imagery and the word usage
is very powerful and elegant. I was in awe of this poem,
with all the angles I went with this as well. In my mind
this poem speaks of love, love lost, and possibly religion....
I actually thought of a nun, yearning for love but
remaining loyal to her spiritual calling. I may be way off
base here, but that is the beauty of this poem, it makes
    you think.
    Lovely!

    ----------------------------------------------------------------------

    Motion - Everlasting (7 points)

This is a metaphoric gem this week! I adore Everlastings
personality and it shines within her writing. The feeling
of being in motion, just waiting and moving in life, to live,
love and be loved. This poem is unique, creative and
stands out this week, just beautiful!
    ----------------------------------------------------------------------

Mother Earth - Dark Jedi (4 points)

This is a beautiful nature / rhyme poem by Dark Jedi.
The message gets right to the point about the devastation
of nature, however, the angles of sadness and compassion
are very powerful as well. The rhyming is flawless and
complimentary to the beauty of this graceful and
    heart touching poem.
