    Well, The title says it

Write a poem about the weekly contest. Take it any way you want: either praise it, complain about it, or write whatever you feel about it but be creative. the winner will be the poem that impresses me the most. Every poem participating will receive a comment. However, I may take up to a week to two weeks to write all the comments. But you'll get them no later than two weeks. Eek. Time seems to be going by too fast.

    Okay, deadline: April 4.

    Pm them to me.

Here are the Three Poems that I received. Results will be given on Thursday night. Thank you to those who participated.

    ***********

    Title: One-Sided

    How do I enter
    the weekly contest?
    You don't enter it,
    someone else
has to enter you in it.

    But how do I enter
    the weekly contest?
    Try commenting
    on others' poems.

    But how do I enter
    the weekly contest?
    If you help other people
    they may return the favor.

    But how do I enter
    the weekly contest?
    I looked at your poetry
    don't hold your breath.

    ----------

    Title: Judgment Week

No poetry site would be complete
    without the willingness to compete.
Hopefully when all is said and done
most everyone involved had some fun.
The winners then get their week of fame
maybe some will remember their name
regardless of their sex or age
after reading it on the front page.
Whether real or just a Nom de plume
We know the bell will toll, but for whom?

    ----------

    Title: To Be a Judge

    They (The Members)

    Do they know about
    the morning I cried
    for hours after reading
    words of a mother's
    grief over her daughter's
    stricken illness?

    I think not-

I chose to place that very moment within
these stanzas, because it was I who chose
    the authors poem for highlight,
not because I cried, feeling the author's
pain, but because her well written lines
captivated the very heart of me as writer.

To be a judge takes it's toll
    upon the heart and soul.

    True passion remains in silence
    where this contest is held,
    behind virtual walls we creep
    in the night, reading-

    second guessing,
    studying,
    the sacred lines of tears.

    To be a judge,

    Please pass me a tissue....

    *******

A round of applause to all of the three who participated. Thank you. Again, results will be given thursday night.
