Experience in Retail??

Hey all! Don't know if others have worked in retail but want to ask what are your biggest annoyances and also your happiest moments?

Is there any one who can't stand shopping in retail stores?

I work with fragrances and bath and body product.

Downsides:
- People don't understand conversion. How it affects our numbers when there is a large group and only one person from that group buys.
- Some people assume I'm pushing product even if I simply greet them and they get defensive.
- Shoplifters who think they are entitled.
- Having to explain it was not my decision but the company's and trying to offer substitutes.

Upsides:
- The people! Hearing and connect with strangers and learning their stories. Some have truly touched me, women shopping for gifts for benefits, someone who is homebound and needs cheering up/ pampering
- Always something different and can learn from others
- It's fun being able to make a person's day even in a simple way.
