Good afternoon PnQers! Well night my time anyway ;) I hope everyone is having a wonderful day! Sorry I haven't gotten around to posting the winners until now, I was teaching all day and then I got lost trying to make some big decisions in regards to work & potential opportunities. Being an adult isn't really that fun.

A big congratulation to our three winners this week: and of course another congratulations to our HMs. We had 4 judges' vote. I also think want to leave a little shout out to our judges, you are truly appreciated. Thank you for the time and effort you put in every week, the site would be lost without you.

    Mush
    by Colm

Two stanzas that have captivated me ever since they were nominated.

Colm has done a brilliant and amazing piece this week. Each stanza is packed with very powerful visuals and his word usage is just beautiful.

Its very cryptic to me, which is what I love most... the first stanza allows me to visualize a boy standing alone in a very cold and wintry train station, being left behind perhaps.. as the second stanza has left me feeling.

The title says it all.. feeling like mush...
    wonderful poem here!!! (10)

Great read from start to finish, It's very distinguished how the writer started his writing by narrating in specific and descriptive words, then shifted very smoothly into a blaming direct speech. A balanced tone through out the lines and very original end as well to imagine the whisper of death stained red. The neat structure was also a beautiful feature to highlight. (10)

This piece that utilizes aspects of modernism to produce a powerful poem, I absolutely love this piece. I found myself reading it over and over again. (4)

    Fare Thee Well
    by Mahal Ko Kuya Ko

Small, elegant poem that left me feeling speechless actually. So many visuals in a small and well formatted poem. It's elegant, and graceful and I felt sorrow and yet peaceful at the same time. Just lovely! (7)

A smart tiny gem, there is a sense of mystery and melancholia very obvious in this writing and the writer used great imagery especially in the second stanza. Pretty interesting closure as well. (4)

There is deep sorrow in this piece, and you feel it immediately from reading the title of this poem. The author writes this piece with passion and you cannot help but feel their every word linger after reading this piece. It seems like the author is reminiscing of home, or is nostalgic one last time before moving on from their home, something that I think a lot of people can relate too. Well-written! (7)

    Teddy Bear
    by NightFlyer

You can't have a dry eye after reading this piece. Its an emotional and touching rhyme poem that fills the heart with love and the true sorrow of death.

Compassion comes to mind and heart with this poem. Its a very personal and heartfelt poem by this author and its an elegant poem of his heart. (4)

This was a sad yet wonderful tribute to someone so special to the poet. Makes people want to tear up here and there since a death is never easy to experience, I for one have gone through the pain and this poem hit close to home. Really relatable to people who have gone through, and are going through this point in their lives. (7)

    Prelude by Senryu

This poet made a beautiful story, liked how this poet seems to put (when needed to make it even more beautiful) Roman numerals, it leads the poet to know that it's organized to the point that there's no errors within the poem to make it stunning, those few little things do add beauty to a poem. This poet's writings are always a wonder to read; you never know what treasure you'll find within text made real. (10)

    Always Remember by Dagmar Wilson

A darling poem that varies in meaning to every poet, but still captures the heart in one way or another. Personally speaking I think it's about bills but it could be something else entirely. I'm blunt when it comes to my poetry and I loved reading this since it has a mystery yet it's blunt and raw. Very nicely done.

True North by "JaneDoeWrites". 7 Points

A true fascinating piece, it's poem where we got lost between the emotions sincerely penned here and a beautifully melancholic trip described brilliantly.
The writer was very successful employing some similes which served to deepen the nostalgic perspective in the poem.
Despite NOT following a neat pattern regarding the structure, still the piece flowing smoothly and we also recognized how the writer interpreted her title in the last stanza very beautifully. 7 points

Absolutely phenomenal piece, I felt as if I was transported into the writer's mind and can see and feel every thought, and every word that went into this piece. There is so much emotion and 'raw passion' into this piece, it felt like "The Four Quartets" by T.S Eliot, it had the same vibe to it as when I was reading it.

"You move me the way wheat stalks
dance with the Earth, before cities were
built or either of us birthed, before trees grew
to giants where blue birds could perch, where
inside me you saw true peace to unearth-
The cologne you wear is a petrichor scent,
your arms are the favorite place my time
    is spent, "

The imagery in this piece, and the diction and the style of writing in this, all couple up to make it feel like the writer is grabbing the reader and forcing them to see through her eyes, feel her thoughts, in an intimate way. Well done! (10)
