I was in a debate a few days ago and criticized the use of the idiom Fair Game in the context it was used
What are the positive uses of the term as opposed to the negative?

Fair Game - a particular thing is available equally to anyone: a beer in the cooler, clothes on clearance.

That is a very positive use of the idiom
I would most likely not think of a married woman as fair game though not all singles are equally available to anyone lol

I once asked a woman "OUT" who always made it clear she was single
When I ask her if I could take her out she reacted is if I meant "take you out" as a red neck takes a deer out on the hunt

"Once you employ a deadly weapon car or gun your fair game for people especially cops to shot you. "
The man I took this quote from often employs "your" where you're would be more grammatically correct
Using the phrase fair game is politically incorrect in context of injuring a human whether you are talking about Dick Cheney's hunting buddy or Osama Bin Laden in my opinion but it reflects a hostility that I have not always been innocent of

Two Aggies (Texas name for those who attend Texas A&M) were out hunting. A beautiful blond came upon them in the woods.

    "Whatcha doin' boys?"

    "Huntin'."

"Well," (looking at them very flirtatiously) "I'm game."

    So they shot her.
