Some Things Are Yet To Be Daffodils
Your footsteps have built a metropolis,
yet we remain
in the distant plateaus
where Manila faults meet,
looking into a host of flowers,
waiting for their shadows
to turn amaranth.
At a boulevard,
one crystal night,
May came barefooted
(as she always is),
slipping into my window,
never bothering to wake me up...
She remained placid and pensive,
all I heard was the echoes
of your footsteps...
...they camped
deep within my heart
where every dejavu lives on.
Your underground promises
have built a city,
yet we remain here in
these distant plateaus,
looking into a host of flowers,
waiting for them to turn
into Daffodils.

Innocence Longings
I wrote your name upon my soul, though your face drifted
along the river of
childhood amnesia.
I yearned
for nostalgia;
hoping she will recall
the roaming memories of you.
While the tiny pieces you held
together were washed away
with the flowing bitter
rough waters.
I,
stood within
the valley of hope,
earnestly waiting for
you to return and sing your
final medleys over my shoulders..

Horizons Hope
Looking into the sunset,
I watch the shadow of my heart
skim over ice cream waves
and disappear.
Just like the sun, it searches.
Counting minutes in between
dark hours, whilst hungering for
the sweetness of
a morning kiss
to bring it back once more
above the sea,
and banish shade.

Back To The Heart
Lush
lips kiss
rubicund
cheeks rebirthing
innocent feelings.
Infatuation yearns
for flickering temptations
through mahogany eyes that lick
flames of passion; souls intertwine with
heartbeats curling up with innocent love.

#5
It was a war to remember,
everything was always only ever
all about you, but now
it's time for you to hit the road -
get out of here. It's hard to
hear your name when everything
reminds me of the starting line.
I'm looking into your eyes
through photographs of a long,
long time again. And it doesn't help
knowing that you're home
all alone, curled up in a ball
under your big purple blanket
with red puffy eyes, and a
shattered heart.
What happened to us Dear?
