Diary of a Rescue Dog - Mange (Part Seven) - 10 points

How can I even begin to explain what I feel about this poem? It's heartbreaking and makes you want to cry at the injustice that humanity has done to its supposed best friend. This is tragic for the blunt truth that some people are like filth and have no care for another being in any way. Skillful for the poet to have written from a dog's prospective which was stunning and flawless. It brought tears to my eyes since I own 5 dogs and I love them all very much.

    I am not mad

'Yaki blew me away this week, this is the most powerful and rawest poem on this site as of now.

    Beautiful display of emotion.
There is no need to break this poem down, it speaks in high volumes of pure, raw emotion on how a precious soul feels when being judged, ridiculed and disrespected.

Top notch inspirational poem here... Powerful and well written!! (10)'

'This poem had me on its title the moment I saw it. It's simple but it captures a soul's desire to keep on reading. This is at most depressing at times because it's true in some aspect sometimes it's just horrible what narrow minded people believe. The simple-ness of this poem was stunning and the emotions just killed you with in its way.' (7)

"The Entropy of Our Kindness" by Kakera (10 pts)

An absolutely phenomenal write, powerful in every aspect, and flawlessly executed. The imagery produced in this peace is surreal, and like none-other. The metaphors and slight personification used in this piece are welcomed, this is probably one of, it not the best nature poem I have ever read. It stitches together nature, and the destructive nature of mankind.

Oysters by the Sea by "Maple Tree" 10 Points

Probably I read this poem more than 6 times. It's fascinating how this writer takes care of every single detail. the sad story itself was more than interesting, the words very well chosen, the imagery is mind-blowing, flowing smoothly in a very balanced tone making the reader charmed by every line. Beautifully penned.

    Nature's Loss
    by Claire Morris

'This is a very elegant nature poem written by Claire... just lovely!

I adore the pretty format, it adds flavor to this nature piece, bringing it to life.

She added a new angle to Forrest devastation and I was in awe when reading this.. just beautiful!' (7)

'A young writer who came up with a very beautiful piece. short elegant lines in well arranged layout. It's something deserves to write about and actually I applaud her for this. Sorrow is felt in every word and her imagery was simply heartfelt. Excellent writing.' (4)

I still think you're beautiful by "The Poetic Child" 7 Points

A very enjoyable long piece, the random length of the lines and following a prose like pattern in so many parts were a bit interrupting, despite the fact the flow is very smooth and the imagery itself excellently employed to deepen the sentiments in this writing.
The mesmerizing end in relation to the title made it worth reading from start to finish, perhaps making few improvements related the capitalization and the punctuation would make it almost flawless. (7)

"Bad is Beautiful" by Baby Rainbow (7 pts)
This is a beautiful piece that serves as a double entente (minus the owning part), for both humans and animals, there are a lot of issues that this poem touches on, especially the part that humans have a tendency to place an emphasis on beauty. It made me think of how many pets were abandoned because they were "not cute" anymore, as they grew out of the puppy phase, and the other animals that will face a lot of problems being adopted because they are not "idealistically beautiful". Also reminded me of this HONY post, https://www.facebook.com/humansofnewyork/photos/a.102107073196735.4429.102099916530784/952700878137346/ A well thought out and heartfelt piece.

    Dreary Night - 4 points

The style of this poem was different than the ones I normally read. It captured my interest and I was sweet if nothing else. The way this poet described everything was flawless and it brought happiness to me for some reason or another. Just beautiful.

A Lament Too Late for Mankind
by Rings of Poetry AKA Naughtymouse

This is a tear infested poem....
filled with many angles, metaphor at its finest.

Just an elegant and detailed nature piece by Ben this week! Lovely!! (4)

"The Shadow of My Heart" by Cassie Hughes (4 pts)
This was a beautiful piece, and written from a creative and interesting challenge, though there are some issues regarding captilization and grammars, apart from that, it was a touching piece. Well done!
