Actually, the current iteration of "you Brits" began with the defeat by a Norman (accompanied by my ancestors) in 1066.

The ups & downs since then have been temporary.

On the other hand, you have less direct concern about Greece & the Euro since you resolutely hold onto the pound

I hope we never lose the pound, the Euro is only good for the Germans. If we lose the Queens head off our currency, we could lose our monarchy as well.

I have to agree with you Darren.
Look at the sad state of Britain now!
Within 50 years no doubt, many Brits are saying, that like a lot of other countries in Europe, Britain will become a Muslim state. The 'do gooders' since the 1960's, have led us to this point of massive population growth and 'political correctness', and failed to stand up for what is right, and protect our freedom and democracy in this once beautiful country of ours..

I too admire the Americans, they take the fight to the enemy no messing, we just talk about it all, tied up in endless commitees, wringing our hands in desperation, and do nothing but talk. We fail to take any real action at all, and because of that, our enemies of freedom and democracy, grow stronger every day.

I wish I could agree with you, Peter. I feel like we're fighting, but fighting the wrong things and doing it the wrong way, for sure. We aren't fighting the true enemies, and that is something that has been seriously hurting this nation (and the rest of the world while we're at it). It's heartbreaking.
