There is no head mod. Or perhaps I should say whoever is logged into the mod account is the de facto head mod until they log out, simply because it has additional features most other mod accounts don't have. Our goal is consensus & so far it seems to have worked. There was a period in which I assumed too much and may have overwhelmed some other mods; I regret this behavior and have told them as much.

I'm not aware of any archive available to any mod, including the mod account, to reveal voting histories. However, I am absolutely certain Bob is correct: Janis has access to it. I say this for two reasons. First, when we had an ersatz vote one week while he was here on his latest visit I asked him if he could tell us where it came from: he could & did (it was me! That's when we realized the risk of scrolling the contest page on a cell phone).
Second, the recording of votes must be kept in the system or the site could not otherwise "know" if you've already voted for or nominated a poem.
Unfortunately the identity of unsporting down voters will have to wait for Janis' next visit. The question has already been asked of him, so it's only a matter of time.

To my knowledge, the only police-related predator dealt with since mid-2011, was about 4 years ago when we got a PM complaint. The PM was so bizarre that I followed up on it to discover a 26~ year-old felon on parole had seduced a 16-year old member and had coerced & bullied her into a highly abusive relationship. After discussing it with Sherry we tracked the police at both locations (his & hers) and he was arrested, with her parents pressing charges. We don't know what happened to him after that & her parents closed the girl's account.

Hello, you guys! A for Effort, but I'm with Larry. This bickering is pretty dull, especially for newbies. Let's get a fresh juicy topic and see what happens. Excited to see you all again.

The best part of the current mod team is that it doesn't actually feel like a regime. Almost everything is transparent, members are respected, mods are fair and playful, apologies and decisions are made together. Much more progressive and fearless than the old days.

And there were plenty of quiet periods under the old regime, trust me. I remember practically a whole year when there was nothing on this board but a series of Happy Birthday threads. Until someone from The Club came up and got their thread instantly locked, it was often dead.

^um to whom are you addressing this to, from my stand point I only saw one bickering and maybe others trying to fuel the fire, but until it got ignorant with the false accusations and name calling, the thread was harmless...(funny what some deem going too far and what others deem harmless banter isn't it) .so yeah, to whom is this directed at....a question was asked, and we tried to answer it honestly , and to be honest just by the responses, the theme regime hasn't changed all that much , just the names. People don't realize the work involved until they've been there and have had to deal with the crisis after crisis, they have it made now of course, because for the most part the board activity is pretty mute......now you can attribute that to more club involvement, or attribute it to just plain old lack of participation...I also like how it was brought up that "the club " was treated unfairly on the boards.....wow, we are still stuck in the past aren't we.....anyhow, glad those days are over and this is a new "regime".....i don't have the time or the energy to participate as much as I use to, and that's probably a good thing .

By the way Ben, I heard you, and sorry for shaking the calm in this place. There are always some pus to come out in order to heal. If not they would stay there no matter how long passed. There is no expiring date on rising to the oppressors or the abusers.
