Spin Offs

I could have posted this in a less visited forum, but I am curious how many other "would be" poets like to write spin offs to earlier poems . Some of you may have noticed we have threads that spin off from earlier threads whether inspired by comedy or tragedy the drama lives on

This is a list of episodes of the CBS television sitcoms The Beverly Hillbillies, Petticoat Junction and Green Acres. The episodes are listed chronologically in order of original broadcast.

The Beverly Hillbillies ran for nine seasons from September 26, 1962, to March 23, 1971, airing a total of 274 episodes.

Petticoat Junction, a spin-off of The Beverly Hillbillies, ran for seven seasons from September 24, 1963, to April 4, 1970, airing a total of 222 episodes.

Green Acres, a spin-off of Petticoat Junction, ran for six seasons from September 15, 1965, to April 27, 1971, airing a total of 170 episodes.

All three series are set in the same universe and have aired a total of 666 episodes.

    Interesting proposition, Michael.

Looking back my only poems that fit this category were written years ago (1998 & 2002).

But I think it may be worth a shot. Maybe a chance to restate the message from a different point-of-view.

An example that comes to mind is "Eve of My Life "and "Eve of My Dreams ". I wrote those so close together I can't recall which I wrote first . They were really never meant to be religious poems . I thought of the same muse when I wrote "Adam's Rib" and "Return to Paradise" (I did not promote as heavily at the time )
