A Man Marooned by Ben Pickard
A very gifted writer whom I've been reading a lot of
lately, I always enjoy the beginning and middle of all his
poems, but have been looking for that missing knockout
punch in the end, count me out , he floored me with this
one, and is capable of doing this time and time again, captivating
work here, and definitely my favorite one of all his many writes....Great job Ben. (10 points)

A Man Marooned by Ben Pickard
This poem is full of so much sadness. The images it
leaves in the readers mind are dark. Talking of a wretched
love, sailing on a boat of doom with black sails. This piece
really leaves the reader feeling sorry for the Marooned Man. (4points)

A Man Marooned by Ben Pickard
Truly a beautiful and sorrowful piece by Ben this week!
Your word choice was divine! The placement of your rhyme
pattern just gave this poem an Old English flavoring. The poem
flowed with the tears. This poem makes the reader emotional
and it's hands down, one of my favorites by you! Lovely!!

The Colors of Humanity by Bob Shank
Bob writes some of the best poems about the story lines,
tie the entire poem together. If we as man kind could all
love one another what a wonderful world it would be. Just
like our ancestors before us there will always be hate
and prejudice. How sad that this is something taught to
our children. We as adults could learn so much from our youngest citizens.(10 points)

The colors of humanity by Bob Shank
Undoubtedly you speak of people, characters, writers
and such that not many will understand when reading
this exquisite gem you have penned. "Its wood burned
food for thought"~~Wow~~ What truly profound thinking
here. Truly a heartbreaking write, and a shame the message
will be misconstrued or misunderstood by some.(7 points)

Stale by Maher
This poem was unique and very deep. It holds a rhythmic
flow to it and stands out above the rest. I was in awe with
your wording. I really like the pattern of rhyme words,
scattered throughout... its a very creative and heartfelt
poem. (4points)

Stale by maher
Usually I don't care for a "lover scorned" poem, but this one,
felt like so much more. It had a spectacular flow that engaged
the reader, and almost seemed as though it was a kind of formed
poetry, because there were certain areas of the poem that just
seemed as though it were. Alone with thoughts and muse of
heavens, the devil delighted in the discourse of this poets prose.
My favorite write of the week, with many thought provoking lines,
impeccable flow and heart penned musings. (10 points)

My ambient Hell by Shawn
Wow, this line here "Brawling with my own cognition" was
outstanding , so much in fact, I just kept reading it over and
over, how descriptive is that for most writers, caught up in a
battle to express themselves with words, and you'd think the
poem would go downhill after such a line, not this one, it
maintained the course throughout, even the rhyme scheme
didn't seem to struggle one bit....can't wait to read more from
this Author, nice job Shawn. (4 points)

My ambient hell by Shawn
A very sad write indeed. It is obvious the writer has dealt
with such betrayal to speak of it in words that hold so much
empathetic feeling. I was truly engulfed in this write, it brought
back memories of such an overwhelming helpless situation from
the past. Just one minor correction on this phenomenal piece, I
believe the word "trashing" should be "Thrashing". That may
have been overlooked by the writer but does not lessen the power
of this write. (4 points)

Weeping by Dagmar Wilson
Metaphorically sound although I initially wasn't going to
rank this poem so high because it had a huge spelling
error that another member quickly pointed out and to this
young writers credit, he took the advice and changed it
immediately. The fact is, I was still going to judge this poem
in the top three even with the error, that's how good I found it
to be. It actually had me up one night thinking about the
many examples of natural (nature) metaphors. A terrific write
Dagmar. (7 points)

Winter Tombs by Ms Sunshine
Ms Sunshine wrote a captivating poem this week.
I really like that she placed it within the misc. category. My
reasons is, nature (Winter) is the hidden message throughout, but
Her key word of Tombs...sheds a dark and sorrowful feel to it.
Very elegant! Winter can be depressing, making one feel
loneliness and even death. A dying tree withers, that is a visual
that spoke to me within this poem! Wonderful write!! (10points)

Breaking Silence by Brit
I really didn't think I could handle reading a piece from the
sad category this week, but I'm glad I did because passing this
by would have meant not leaving it the points or commentary
it deserves. Yes it is heartbreaking, yes it is devastating, yes it
is painful to read - but there is also a sense of power that
comes through the honesty of this write. And it is truly something
to get lost in, to marvel at until you find yourself crying on your
keyboard because so many other people have felt so many
different versions of this very same sorrow. Although this is
deeply emotional it also feels like catharsis which was nice to
see, even if the author herself has yet to realize the relief she will
gain from getting this out of her system. (4 points)

We Gather in Peace by Maple tree
This is a delightfully honest piece that captures just how open-
minded the world can really be. The timing is wonderful too,
because the whole world seems to be up in arms that religions
can't mix and that's why things like Friday the 13th in Paris
happened last month, but really if we could all just accept one
another (look how easy that is to do) maybe we wouldn't have
to suffer as much in the arms of one another. And I think that's
a great thing about this piece, it leaves you thinking, both about
the beauty and the examples that are being set so simply. There's
a sense of indescribable love between these friends and I love
how that comes off the paper and actually shows itself to the
world. Beautifully penned. Brilliantly thought out. (7 points)

It's 9pm and I'm honest by Yakari Gabriel
The simplicity here pulls this piece to an entirely new level
with depth and beauty while still saying so many things at once.
It's a warning that everyone here understands but at the same
time there's something so personal about it there's always going
to be more that will always be the author's secret. Voice is very
clear in this poem and that's what I think stands out the most to
me, because it makes this even more unforgettable and allowed
for a very creative word choice. One of my all-time favorite
pieces here!(10 points)

Two Hands by Michael D Malley
Beautiful piece Michael has written. It doesn't matter
what we create. We always put something of ourselves
into it. Hoping it will touch others and they will feel what
we felt as creating it. I can say this really did touch my heart.
