What if it rains
By Ben Pickard
Humility at its finest, and reminds me of a quote I hold true, the eyes are truly the mirror to the soul , one just needs to look past the reflection. This was a humbling p[eace, in the end no one is better than the next and your soul may not be exposed to the world, but it shall be exposed to the elements, where no one is more or less than the other....a remarkable rhyme scheme with only one strain...Good Job Ben (10)

Farther from Heaven than You
By Someone Invisible
This poem mesmerized me from start to finish. I really and truly enjoyed the simplicity and elegance of this poem.
Someone Invisible created an heart gripping expressions of emotions comparing her love and herself as heaven and hell. Just a wonderful poem here.
the ending was a perfect closing to this piece. wonderful!! (10)

Silence/Inescapable
by alexdapoet
This poem oozes creativity to the max!
Explosive word usage and elegant formatting just explodes this poem.
the nature tones within this poem are so elegant. When writing about silence, this angle was the way to go... just lovely! (7)

This write certainly brings tears to my eyes. As we ponder all we have done over the course of life, we hope it has been good enough. It was certainly our best that we could do at the time. Very well written. (7)

knowing personally how this writer fights to live each day, one can truly appreciate the sentiments within, it's a lesson in disguise, we read words written daily and seldom give thoughts to the true battles the Author faces just to compose such nakedness of the soul....Although the title didn't really match the poem for me, the write itself really hit home, thank you for sharing you...... _________
Head Stone by Michael Nalley
Michael portrayed a heartbreaking write of age and wisdom meeting time and the inevitable. Truly one of my favorites writes ever from this author. I wonder if it was intentional to separate the words Head and Stone in the title, depicting life clouded with thoughts of death, instead of headstone of a grave. (4)

it amazes me how recognition sets in the older we get, it seems like the reality of death becomes more of a focus rather than when we were young and all we really thought about was how much fun we were having experiencing life The writer has depicted the clock winding down on the inevitable .....Breathe Michael, breathe.... Elizabeth Street by Maple Tree
This piece is sums up something I've been trying to write and say for a long time, however I haven't been able to articulate the words or pen them on paper in the way this poet has. I became lost in the references of decay and loss. The words 'abandoned', 'cracks', 'homeless', 'burial ground' having the ability to depict a scene for the reader that is both haunting yet beautiful. I felt as though I was looking at a person who has weathered such a large storm that their body has begun to collapse beneath it. This is raw, it's honest and it's written in a way that many people will be able to relate due to the emotion that the poet has been able to weave through her words. (10)

Holy Smokes! It's very easy to see why this is my top choice for the week. This write is a powerhouse of emotions. Time is not essentially a healer, we just learn to cope with our lives. (10)

Songs Above the Sorrow by Satish Verma
I thought this was poem was interesting. The poet placed a lot of different images within the poem and at first I found my mind was becoming a little confused while trying to comprehend how the images relate to what the writer was saying. However, after a couple of reads I was able to find the connections that make this poem so beautiful. While this poem is placed in the nature section due to some of the imagery, the reader must truly dig deeper to understand the message that the writer is providing and that's what I enjoyed most when reading. Burdensome by Britt
It's the emotive response that the writer gets from her readers that makes this poem special. You can not simply read this without having some sort of reaction. I felt as though I needed to put myself in the poet's shoes to truly understand the difficulty she must be feeling. There's an emptiness in these words, a sadness and also, while it's not evident throughout the entire poem, I felt as though the last lines present us with comfort and an understanding, that while this relationship has ended, it will not be forgotten.
