I am so lucky and blessed with love in my life <3

For those of you who know me, and know I love my dogs and they are my world, I received sad news lately that my old girl has a brain tumour, and so has been given about 6 months.

I was agoraphobic before I found this girl, and she has really made me who I am, and given me the motivation and confidence to have my own business!

There is a company that makes teddies which are made to order, so if you want a dragon teddy with pink spots and a yellow nose, they will make it! Well, I never ask for anything for my birthdays or Christmas, but this year all I wanted was a teddy made to resemble my dog.
My friends and family all chipped in and gave me enough money to buy this teddy. I cannot express how much it means to me, I just know it will offer me so much comfort, when the time comes to say goodbye.

I am so lucky!

I hope the teddy will comfort you. My little Maltese lion Betty was my shadow for 11 years and I loved her so dearly. I can imagine your pain. Cuddle and hold your doggy as often as you can, time goes so quickly ~hugs~

Happy birthday, Saffie. Beautiful birthday gift. These creatures who consent to live with us are children who never move out for college or marriage. Unfortunately, they live far too short lives.

I am very lucky; I am 34 and am yet to lose a close family member and one of the saddest days of my life is when I lost our black Labrador at the age of 17. It still upsets me now.

My Golden retriever is called Ash, she was named this when we rescued her 6 years ago! I actually got her the day before my birthday!

I do have 4 dogs, (plus one foster at the moment) but Ash has always been special, she will always be remembered as my first dog, and the dog that gave me a life again. But she is also one of those soft dogs who everybody ends up stroking or liking. She has worked alongside so many people including people who are scared of dogs, kids who are scared of dogs, and even people who don't like dogs, they end up liking her!

I am so very lucky to have her!

A golden! That's all you had to say. I had numerous dogs over the years, most of whom lived to 16+ years. However, my entire definition of "dog" changed when we got Dragon, a golden. As you describe Ash's personality and "animal magnetism" so was Dragon. We had to put him down two years ago & it was the saddest day of all our lives.

Dragon... awesome name.

It is a sad part of having them, but I really should not complain because I have been able to share the most amazing 6 years with Ash, all good memories and what she has shared with the world is inspiring. We have so much to learn from them!
